Heidi’s Day at Mulberry Fashion Show

PetsPyjamas’ doggy reporter and Mulberry Ambassador, Norfolk Terrier, Heidi reports from fashion week, exclusively for PetsPyjamas.

I can hardly believe it’s been nearly 5 months since last fashion week! No rest for the stylish, as on Sunday Rufus and I trotted along to Mulberry’s AW13 catwalk fashion show, hosted at the ever-glamorous Claridges in Mayfair. We’d been invited as VIPs (Very Important Pooches), along with a few other select fashion dogs. We kept stylish and warm in our faux fur-trimmed navy parkas – by Mulberry of course.

We were escorted by our owners, Denise and Camilla. We were rather jealous of Camilla’s neon Alexander Wang bag – if only dogs needed bags…

Outside, we bumped into our friends Oly, Monica and Berry the Pug, who was wearing the same parka as us! Fashionable minds think alike, obviously. We loved how Monica had matched her outfit to Berry’s – so chic! We were all interviewed by Vogue China – just an average day in the life of a fashion dog…

We bumped into Vogue’s Style Editor Emma Elwick-Bates, who posed for a photo with us. The paparazzi couldn’t get enough of us – some were even lying on the floor to get a shot of our new season Mulberry parkas!

Before the show started, we grabbed a photo with bloggers Margaret Zhang and Jessica Stein aka Tuula – such a stylish duo.

The show itself was a feast for the eyes – sleek black and navy outfits adorned both human models and dog model Max the Poodle, against a butterfly-adorned backdrop. Think oversized checked boucle coats offset with cropped trousers, a chic navy leather capelet with matching wool slacks, cropped balloon sleeves and elbow-length gloves, and head-to-toe ditzy florals in autumnal hues. The look was prim, proper, luxe and wholeheartedly British – just what we’d expect from Creative Director Emma Hill. We loved it!
