Joey Essex made his name starring in reality TV show, The Only Way Is Essex and since leaving the show he has taken part in a variety of programmes, including celebrity diving show Splash! as well as coming fourth in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Here he exclusively introduces PetsPyjamas to the latest addition to Essex, his Bengal cat Prince.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m very busy working with my manager on various ideas and projects.
Why did you decide to get a cat and have you had cats before?
Not sure why I decided on a cat as I’ve never had one. However I have just got a flat and wanted a pet so I thought it would be more practical to get a cat.
What breed is your cat and why did you choose him?
He’s a Bengal and I choose him because of his unusual markings.
How do your friends get on with Prince?
My friends think he’s sic!
How long have you had him?
I’ve had him four-months so he is still very much a playful kitten.
What difference does he make to your life?
I look forward to coming home to my flat and Prince greeting me.
Does he have any funny ways or are there any funny incidents involving Prince?
Everything he does is funny, he’s into climbing and he loves finding dark places to hide.
What do you do or buy Prince to spoil him?
I buy him lots of toys to keep him busy and am always cuddling him.
Do you take Prince to work with you?
My manager takes Prince to work with her and he can often be found in my clothing shop Fusey greeting the customers.
Does he have any favourite toys or food?
He plays with anything, as long as it moves. His favourite food is wet food.
