The Borzoi, or Russian Wolfhound, is a member of the Sighthound family and is similar in shape to the Greyhound. Independent and athletic, the Borzoi is a quiet dog, barking only very rarely. They are generally very gentle, but they can become nervous around children they have not been brought up with, as they can be sensitive about their personal space. Despite their large size they adapt well to suburban living if they are given regular exercise and have a garden at their disposal. Their silky coat requires regular grooming.
