The Field Spaniel is a medium sized dog and is easily mistaken for a Cocker Spaniel. They are noble looking and described as having grave eyes. They can make great family dogs as they are patient with children, however, they are highly active and sometimes require some sort of purpose such as hunting or agility work in order to prevent them from becoming bored and destructive. They do not require unreasonable quantities of food but, as their coats are long and glossy, they do require regular grooming.
