Need to know Scottish Deerhound

As their name suggests, Scottish Deerhounds were originally bred to hunt deer, and this hunting instinct remains in full force, so it's best to keep them on a lead in unsafe areas. Despite their interest in hunting, the Scottish Deerhound is perfectly polite with people and can make a devoted family dog. As with many large breeds, the Scottish Deerhound is prone to bloating and should be fed two or three small meals a day rather than one large one. An elevated food bowl can also help with this problem.
