They may not always come when you call, but small and furry creatures are perhaps the most obviously adorable of all pets. Admired for their fluffiness and innocence, they can be comparatively low maintenance and provide their owners with hours of entertainment. Although they need to be protected from larger animals, like dogs or cats, they can often co-exist very happily together- rabbits and guinea pigs, for example, can often live in total harmony. These pets are often hailed as a great way to teach children responsibility and can be a wonderful first pet.
