CHRISTMAS EVE:
Arrive at Bovey Castle for afternoon tea accompanied by carol singing. Activities will be available all day. We offer an early children’s high tea in Smith’s Brasserie. Your evening includes welcome drinks and a five-course dinner, accompanied by our pianist.
CHRISTMAS DAY:
Enjoy breakfast followed by a visit from Father Christmas who will be giving out gifts for our younger guests. In the morning enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery on the estate by trying out our brass rubbing trail. The revelry begins with a drinks reception followed by a fabulous Christmas Day lunch in the Great Western Grill accompanied by a harpist. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the King’s speech which will be shown in the lounges with tea and mince pies. An informal buffet dinner will be served in the evening.
BOXING DAY:
After breakfast sign up for the golf tournament, join us for a guided walk, or take part in our treasure hunt around the castle and grounds. In the afternoon our much-loved ferret racing is a firm favourite, as is our ‘nearest the pin’ golf competition on the South Terrace, served with hot chocolate or mulled wine. Family activities are available all day. A savoury and sweet afternoon tea will also be served in one of our lounges throughout the afternoon accompanied by some live entertainment. A high tea will be available for any young children. Finish your day with a cocktail reception and five course dinner in the Great Western Grill (dress code – cocktail dresses and lounge suits) followed by entertainment from our jazz trio.

Arrive for an afternoon tea served in one of our beautiful lounges, accompanied by a harpist. Dress for our Black-Tie event and then the festivities begin with a Champagne cocktail and canapé reception accompanied by a traditional piper, a six-course gala dinner in the Great Western Grill followed by live music and dancing until 1am. At midnight bring in the New Year watching the fantastic firework display from our South Terrace and celebrate with a glass of Champagne.
NEW YEAR’S DAY:
After the previous night’s revelry enjoy a leisurely brunch. Blow away the cobwebs on a guided walk or take part in our treasure hunt around the castle and grounds or play in our golf tournament.
