Amanda Holden & Rudie interviews Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden during filming for the latest series of the ITV talent show. We chat to her about supporting Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the best thing about her mixed breed dog, Rudie and why he makes such a great family dog.

Are you enjoying filming the new series of Britain’s Got Talent?

Britain’s Got Talent is fab this year. We have a lot of strong variety acts which I’m loving.

What breed is Rudie?

Rudie is a Jack Russell / Yorkshire Terrier cross.

Does Rudie have any special talents?

He’s a brilliant photographer and he’s great at NOT coming back when you call him in the park.

Does Rudie watch the programme?

He is a big fan of Britain’s Got Talent and is currently reading Pudsey’s (winner of Britan’s Got Talent 2012) autobiography.

Do you have any other pets and does Rudie get on with them?

He and our cat Muffy kind of get on but mostly play chase and hide and seek around the house.

Does he get on well with your two children?

He is amazing with both children. I would never leave him alone with baby Hollie Rose but she pulls him and shares toys with him and he loves to clean her!

Where do you take him for walks?

We take him to local parks for walks, as well as taking him to the beach.

What are your future plans?

My autobiography comes out this September which is very exciting.

What is on your wishlist from PetsPyjamas?

I particularly love the tropical retractable lead – Perfect for the Spring.
