Last weekend Rufus, Heidi and the PetsPyjamas team went along to Pup Aid 2012 – a fantastic event for dogs and their owners to battle it out for the all-important ‘Best In Show’ title whilst raising awareness of illegal puppy farming and breeding.
We had a great time in the Primrose Hill sunshine and met some adorable pups and hounds of all shapes and sizes; from Chanel the Chihuahua to Lola the Great Dane. Rufus and Heidi loved Barry the Dog Jogger’s paddling pool, and seeing our friends Holly and Lil, Charlie Chau and Hugo and Hennie. We fell in love with Poppy the 5 week old Staffordshire Terrier who was with the All About Dogs team. Poppy was rescued by the charity at 3 weeks old after her owner tried to sell her on Gumtree for £40.
Some of our favourite animal lovers were there; Brian May, Meg Matthews, Debbie Douglas, Noel Gallagher, Sarah Harding, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Mangan. Not to mention Joanna Page’s touching message on the importance of ending puppy farming.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Marc the Vet and the Pup Aid team for a fantastic day out, and on a more serious note please do take the time to read about their Where’s Mum campaign to make sure you are aware of the tell-tell signs of illegal puppy farming.
