One of my favourite walks is to park at Roehampton Gate and walk along\u00a0the path to Richmond Gate. I then walk out of the park and down the hill to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/pet-neighbourhood\/venue\/petersham-nurseries-tw10-7ag\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Petersham Nurseries<\/a>\u00a0to stop\u00a0off for a welcome coffee and homemade cake. Rufus and Heidi always manage to get a few delicious\u00a0crumbs. Petersham Nurseries is the most stylish place in the world and it&#8217;s pet-friendly! After coffee\u00a0we walk back up the hill through Richmond Gate and back to Roehampton Gate. It\u2019s about a two\u00a0hour excursion but is heavenly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28593 size-medium\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/shutterstock_184334813-690x457.jpg\" alt=\"richmond park\" width=\"690\" height=\"457\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/shutterstock_184334813-690x457.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/shutterstock_184334813-768x508.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/shutterstock_184334813-930x616.jpg 930w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/shutterstock_184334813.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">For a shorter walk we start off from the house in Fulham (near Parsons Green) and walk\u00a0along the Kings Road towards Chelsea. Rufus always wants to veer off towards the vets for a treat but after a\u00a0fifteen minute walk, we arrive at\u00a0Megan&#8217;s\u00a0delicatessen. They have a pet-friendly garden at the back, full of gorgeous\u00a0flowers and fairy lights. There are always lots of dogs there and quite frequently we see Sybil,\u00a0a Norfolk terrier puppy, and they all have a play. Then back home again; it&#8217;s a good half an hour walk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">I work in Shoreditch in East London and I quite often take Rufus and Heidi with me. \u00a0We walk from\u00a0our offices in Leonard Street to Old Street and stop off for lunch at\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #005689;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/pet-neighbourhood\/venue\/look-mum-no-hands-london-ec1v-9hx\/\" target=\"_blank\">Look Mum No Hands<\/a>, a pet-friendly\u00a0restaurant that always give us a warm welcome. For such an urban environment there are plenty of\u00a0dogs on patrol. Another good stop off point is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/pet-neighbourhood\/venue\/book-club-ec2a-4xs\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Book Club<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-28597\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/photo-2-690x748.jpg\" alt=\"photo 2\" width=\"690\" height=\"748\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/photo-2-690x748.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/photo-2-768x832.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/photo-2-930x1008.jpg 930w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/photo-2.jpg 1020w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Sometimes we meet up with my friend Jo and her Labradoodle, Bertie, in Highgate and take\u00a0a shady walk through Highgate Woods. It&#8217;s a leisurely 20 to 30 minute stroll and there is a lovely\u00a0large playing field, which is ideal for ball-throwing. Once you have all tired yourself out, you\u00a0can sit down to a welcome cup of tea in the cafe in the middle of the woods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Rufus-in-the-woods.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18494 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Rufus-in-the-woods.jpg\" alt=\"Rufus in the woods\" width=\"675\" height=\"661\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">For a lovely walk by the river we set off from Fulham, cross Putney Bridge and walk along the tow path to Hammersmith Bridge. It&#8217;s a lovely shady walk populated by a few boat houses and is very\u00a0peaceful and charming. \u00a0We sometimes stop at a little park along the way where there is the sweetest\u00a0cafe. We go over Hammersmith Bridge and then along the north side of the river, sometimes stopping\u00a0off at\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #005689;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/pet-neighbourhood\/venue\/crabtree-w6-9ha\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Crabtree<\/a>\u00a0pub. It&#8217;s about a two hour walk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">We are also in the middle of the Capital Ring walk &#8211; a 78 mile loop around London which can be done\u00a0in 15 one-day walks. It&#8217;s great to discover new areas and our walks have taken us to Wimbledon, Highgate, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Crystal Palace, Brentford. We try to complete a different section each weekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">We love holidaying in Walberswick in Suffolk and stay with a friend who has a cottage on the village green. The dogs love playing on the beach and chasing after a frisbee. A lovely walk is from Walberswick\u00a0along the beach to Dunwich. \u00a0It takes about an hour each way and there&#8217;s a fabulous fish and chip shop for lunch\u00a0when you arrive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-28596\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Dogs-on-the-beach-690x920.jpg\" alt=\"Dogs on the beach\" width=\"690\" height=\"920\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Dogs-on-the-beach-690x920.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Dogs-on-the-beach-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Dogs-on-the-beach-930x1240.jpg 930w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Dogs-on-the-beach.jpg 1224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">There&#8217;s a lovely pub in Hurley called\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #005689;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/travel\/location\/olde-bell-sl6-5lx\" target=\"_blank\">The Olde Bell<\/a>. \u00a0We often go for Sunday lunch and then afterwards we\u00a0walk over the bridge along the river. It\u2019s only a 40 minute drive from London but so easy to get to, and\u00a0so gorgeous when you do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
