So whether you are taking them in a car, ferry, or on a plane, vet Holly Mash shares her top\u00a0tips to make sure both you and your pet have a great holiday&#8230;\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you&#8217;re dog friendly holidays are a\u00a0long car journey away, try and stop for a break so that your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/shop\/dogs\/home\/\">dog <\/a>can stretch his legs and empty his bladder, and have the offer of a drink, every few hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It is always best to be safe and as precaution for them\u00a0to wear a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/shop\/dogs\/products\/travel\/?page=all\">seatbelt <\/a>in the car or for small dogs a travel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/shop\/dogs\/products\/travel\/?page=all\">crate <\/a>will help them feel safe and keep them from moving about too much.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Travelling with you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/shop\/cats\/home\/\">cat <\/a>in the car always have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/shop\/cats\/products\/travel\/\">carrier <\/a>that is big enough for them to turn around comfortably \u2013 it could be wise to invest in a roomier carrier for longer journeys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-31154\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutterstock_341787752-690x460.jpg\" alt=\"shutterstock_341787752\" width=\"690\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutterstock_341787752-690x460.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutterstock_341787752-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutterstock_341787752-930x620.jpg 930w, https:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shutterstock_341787752.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use a drop (just one) of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petspyjamas.com\/product\/eau-de-dog-the-perfect-calm-mini-50ml\/BAB-00012\/?search=lavender\">lavender <\/a>on your pets bedding, to help them to relax and sleep.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>For travel sickness, there is the excellent homeopathic remedy Cocculus, (12 or 30c). The dose is one tablet an hour before the journey, another when you set off and then subsequent doses every four hours during the journey.
