\"the<\/a>Pet Inspectors Rufus and Heidi enjoyed a stay of business and leisure at the luxury Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heidi and I were super excited about our visit to the\u00a0Four\u00a0Seasons Hotel\u00a0Hampshire<\/a>. Not just because we\u00a0love a bit of luxury – and we know how luxurious\u00a0Four\u00a0Seasons\u00a0hotels are – but because we were there to meet a VIP and to present an award.\u00a0This award was to Oliver Beckington<\/a>, Labrador and Lord of the Manor and winner of\u00a0PetsPyjamas’ travel award<\/a> as Top Resident Dog.<\/p>\n

Competition had been fierce for this award but Oliver stood out as top dog.\u00a0Mostly because of the charming way he greets canine guests and humans in the hotel lobby and the way he escorts them round the grounds showing them his favourite spots on the Estate. We couldn’t wait to meet him!<\/p>\n

After\u00a0a very swift journey down the M3\u00a0we arrived at Dogmersfield (we love the name) and into the very impressive drive and as we drew up Oliver rushed out to greet us! Now that really is style. As we leapt out of the car we rubbed noses and all wagged our tails and then Oliver escorted us to the lobby with our luggage (in our case that was our fabulous Wag N Go travel bags<\/a>).\u00a0He showed us his bed and toys in the lobby and then it was time to present Oliver with his award. Oliver was joined by his owner, Maria, who runs the Spa and by\u00a0Public Relations Manager, Francesca Adams. Everyone seemed thrilled and the award now takes pride of place on the desk at the hotel reception.<\/p>\n

Oliver seemed slightly less thrilled when Heidi immediately jumped\u00a0into his bed but we all played together and had a lovely time. Heidi and I got to greet some new arrivals too! Next\u00a0we were whisked up to our room on the first floor. The room was very glamorous\u00a0with lovely views of the grounds.<\/p>\n

Heidi and I had a lovely bed each, bowls and what must be our best canine feast yet.\u00a0The chef James Dugan had created a special dish for us with chicken, carrots and our names piped in potato on the plate! It looked absolutely delicious and we wolfed it down in no time. We also noticed that there was a Rufus and Heidi bottle of water for each of us too! Was there anything this hotel hadn’t thought of?<\/p>\n

After our gourmet tea we went for a lovely hour long walk through the grounds and along the canal saying hello to a few cows and horses and ending up at a pub The Barley Mow in Winchfield.\u00a0Denise and Rory decided to have a drink and we were immediately offered some water and played with a few more Labradors roaming the pub. Off we trotted back to the hotel and Heidi and I had our paws wiped by the hotel’s charming concierge at reception. After such a long walk we were more than happy to stay in our room and catch up with a bit of telly whilst our owners popped downstairs for their own gourmet dinner.<\/p>\n

The hotel’s chef James Dugan has a fabulous reputation. He has previously worked at Amberley Castle and gained Michelin stars at 36 on the Quay in Emsworth and also worked with renowned chef Richard Corrigan. Denise had the most delicious turbot and Rory the beef tenderloin, followed by Hampshire lavender cr\u00e8me\u00a0br\u00fbl\u00e9e\u00a0and praline and honeycomb parfait. They were very impressed.<\/p>\n

After a delicious breakfast and another stately walk around the grounds, Denise decided to sample the Spa. We stayed in our room whilst she had a half hour swim in the pool. She said it was one of the best Spas ever!<\/p>\n

When it was time to leave we said a sad farewell to Oliver at reception.\u00a0He was already playing with some children who had just arrived and we were not surprised to learn that guests return to the hotel just to see Oliver.\u00a0We can certainly see why!<\/p>\n

This is one of the most pet-loving hotels we have visited and we would love to return soon. Woof! Woof!<\/p>\n
