Severus and Lily from Spaniel Life<\/a> along with their humans, Steph and Sam, visit The Cary Arms<\/a> for a couple of nights \u2013 the perfect way to combat those January blues\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

As travelling hounds, we like to keep our humans on their toes and ready for the next adventure. This time they<\/span> we picked the wonderful Cary Arms, for a two-night stay in South Devon.<\/p>\n

The beautiful inn is based in Babbacombe, very close to Torquay and even has a little beach on its doorstep \u2013 perfect for any seaside loving Spaniels, like us.<\/p>\n

With a cosy pub-type feel, a roaring fire and views that stretch over the gorgeous ocean, it has lots of character and charm, along with the wonderful staff fussing over us at every opportunity.<\/p>\n

Our room was cosy and comfy and the slate floor was ideal for our wet and muddy feet. We were given beds and bowls, and there were even some treats waiting for us too. The dog-friendly bedrooms had their own entrance and even a little terrace area, so we’re hoping to go back and make the most of it when the weather warms up.<\/p>\n

The pretty Beach Hut Suites<\/a> were also just around the corner \u2013 they’re next on our list to try!<\/p>\n

With a penchant for pub-grub, we joined Mum and Dad for dinner on our first night, although we didn’t get offered any of the steak because the humans enjoyed it far too much! After dessert, we sat in the residence lounge by the fire place and started dreaming about the next day\u2019s beach adventures.<\/p>\n

Babbacombe beach was perfect for a quick potter in the morning and evening, and we even met some friends there too. Almost<\/em> every human had a dog, and it was great to see them out playing on the beach, as well as joining their owners for breakfast and dinner.<\/p>\n

On the last morning, Mum treated us to “A real dog\u2019s dinner” \u2013 a yummy serving of rice, sausages and gravy. Sadly, having to share it with Lily meant I couldn’t enjoy it all, but it was still a great start to the day.<\/p>\n

Both humans and hounds adored The Cary Arms, being fussed over and feeling truly at home while visiting. We’ve requested another stay in the summer, which I think Mum would be rather happy to oblige. She kept mentioning how lovely the sunset with a glass of wine on the terrace would have been!<\/p>\n
