So, we\u2019ve hand-picked our favourite spots in Wales where you can stretch your pet\u2019s four legs\u2026<\/p>\n

The Wales Coast Path<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Four-legged friends will love following their noses along (parts of) this 870-mile coastal path! In 2012, it became the world\u2019s first uninterrupted route along a national coast and is a fantastic way for you and your pet to experience Wales\u2019 coastal landscape. It\u2019s a bit much for you and Fido to walk the entire length of the path (sore paws alert) so Visit Wales has put together a selection of the best short walks<\/a> for you to pick and choose from depending on whereabouts you\u2019re staying.<\/p>\n

Snowdonia National Park<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A World Heritage Site, Snowdonia National Park<\/a> is a super popular destination for hiking with furry friends in tow. Great to visit any time of the year, you can embark on gentle strolls or if your pet is an adventurer, hike up one of Snowdonia\u2019s mountains! Visit Beddgelert, which is named after legendary hound Gelert and up the road is Llyn Cwellyn where you can enjoy outstanding views of Mount Snowdon. A portion of the park lies on the Welsh coast, so venture south where Afon Mawddach meets the sea and wander around the stunning sandy estuary.<\/p>\n

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Canine companions will think they\u2019re in heaven whilst exploring this breath-taking part of Wales. Designated as a National Park<\/a> purely for its dramatic coastline, Pembrokeshire spans over 186 miles and includes 58 beaches! The entire path will take you about 10-15 days to complete but for the regular holiday-goers, there are over 200 short walks for you and your pooch to choose from.<\/p>\n

Carmarthenshire<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The largest of Wales counties, Carmarthenshire<\/a> has something for all two and four-legged folk in the way of walking. With a mixture of both coastal and rural landscapes to explore, this is a walkers\u2019 paradise. Head south to Llanelli for some fantastic seaside strolls or for a more rugged, country experience go north to Brechfa Forest.<\/p>\n

Brecon Beacons National Park<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The last of Wales\u2019 National Parks but by no means the least. The Brecon Beacons<\/a> boasts an awe-inspiring landscape of heather-clad mountains, spectacular waterfalls and a Dark Sky Reserve \u2013 a real treat for both you and Fido! Thrill seekers should climb up the park\u2019s highest peak Pen y Fan or walk along to Henrhyd Falls, the highest waterfall in South Wales. And whatever your walking ability, when in the Brecon Beacons, you must venture along some part of The Beacons Way. This 95-mile linear walk has some of the best views and traverses mountain ranges, deep valleys, moorland and towns.<\/p>\n
