Life\u2019s a beach<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wales is well-known for its dramatic coastline<\/a> which is among the safest and cleanest in the world. One of Wales\u2019 National Parks even covers 186 miles of the coast! Both the Gower and Ll\u0177n Peninsulas are fantastic to visit with your pooch and you and Fido will find countless trails to enjoy. All beaches in Wales are open to furry friends as of September, however there are beaches that are dog-friendly all year round. We\u2019ve selected a few of our favourites below\u2026<\/p>\n

Llanbedrog Beach<\/strong> \u2013 This sheltered sandy beach overlooks Cardigan Bay and is lined with colourful beach huts. Furry friends will love splashing about in the shallow water!<\/p>\n

Rhossili Bay<\/strong> \u2013 Voted Wales best beach of 2017 and it\u2019s not hard to see why. Stretching for three golden sandy miles, your pooch will have lots of fun running around. Make sure you bring a ball!<\/p>\n

Monkstone Beach<\/strong> \u2013 Wild and remote, Monkstone is a beautiful, quiet alternative to the nearby Saundersfoot and Tenby beaches. Your dog will have lots of fun exploring all the rock pools.<\/p>\n

Take a walk<\/strong><\/h4>\n

As well as its gorgeous coast, Wales also has miles and miles of expansive countryside and mountains for you and your furry friend to roam. There\u2019s something for everyone \u2013\u00a0 whether you\u2019re a seasoned hiker or a casual trekker, there are mountainous climbs as well as relaxing strolls. We\u2019ve already sniffed out the best areas<\/a>!<\/p>\n

If you find yourself missing urban life, Wales has some amazing major cities for you to explore with Fido. Wales\u2019 capital city Cardiff<\/a> on the south coast offers wonderful shopping, landmarks, museums and dog-friendly dining. And it\u2019s easy to see everything by foot! Swansea<\/a> is also a fantastic city to explore with your pet with its vibrant market, parks and gardens, and the sweeping waterfront of Swansea Bay. Don\u2019t forget to visit the seaside village of Mumbles on the west side of the bay \u2013 it has over 120 shops, restaurants and pubs.<\/p>\n

Grab a bite in a dog-friendly pub<\/strong><\/h4>\n

There\u2019s nothing nicer after a day of doggie adventures than to settle down in a cosy dog-friendly pub, and you won\u2019t have to look far to find a suitable one! Visit Wales have picked out a selection of lovely pubs<\/a>. All are dog-friendly, serve delicious food and drinks, and most have outdoor areas and gardens \u2013 ideal for when you and Fido want to relax but still enjoy the sunshine and scenery.<\/p>\n
