If you want to combine a visit with a lovely walk park up in the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">town and take the 35-minute walk to\u00a0 Lingholme Estate on the shores of Derwent Water.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With stunning views and a gorgeous walled garden that was the original inspiration for<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Mr. McGregor\u2019s garden in the Tale of Peter Rabbit.\u00a0 Here you can enjoy a delicious l<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unch at the dog-friendly Lingholme Kitchen. Or for a longer walk take the 10 mile\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Derwentwater Circuit along the shoreline of Derwentwater.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close to Keswick is\u00a0 Catbells a short, steep climb with the most amazing views\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of mountains and lakes.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a 5.6-mile walk to the wonderful viewpoint at the summit.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You could climb Skiddaw -the Longside Edge route is probably the best route and Wainwright\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recommended route although the easiest route is the Jenkin Hill route. Or for a real challenge try\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scarfell Pike, the highest mountain in England is located in the Lake District National Park i<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">n Cumbria. It will take two to three hours for the ascent and less for the descent &#8211; only recommended for dogs who are used to long walks!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Windemere Lake Cruises\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dogs are welcome on Windemere Lake Cruises where you can enjoy a cruise around the Lake or hop on and off to visit the various dog-friendly attractions.\u00a0 They can also travel with you on\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ullswater steamers with amazing piers and gardens to explore.\u00a0 Nautical canines can also take a cruise on Coniston Water to see the scenery that inspired Arthur Ransome\u2019s Swallows\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And Amazons. The Gondolas and Coniston launch both stops at Brantwood where dogs\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can visit the grounds and the dog-friendly cafe.
