Unfortunately, not everywhere in London loves our canine friends as much as we do, so we\u2019ve sniffed out the city’s best dog-friendly restaurants and pubs that boast great food, cool atmosphere and delectable tipples, for both the two and four-legged kind.

Gaucho, Hampstead<\/strong><\/a>

Renowned for being one of the best Argentinian steak restaurants in London, Gaucho offers a fantastic selection of food and wine, as well as a classy dining experience. Dogs are welcome all day between 12-6pm, and there\u2019s even a doggy menu called the Muttropolitan! On every Sunday of each month, Gaucho also hosts \u2018<\/span>Doggy Sundays<\/span><\/a>\u2019, where owners and their furry friends are invited to enjoy a variety of treats and activities. They even do their very own version of Crufts: Grufts! Just book a reservation under your pooch\u2019s name for a paw-some time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Voted as the best pub in the country at the Great British Pub Awards, this typically British public house has two fabulous beer gardens, a wood-burning fire, daily changing menu, and exquisite wine and whiskey menu. Serving a fine selection of rustic modern British pub food all year round, including a superb Sunday lunch, it\u2019s well worth a visit with your best furry friend in tow – they\u2019ll be just as welcome as you! Located just a stone\u2019s throw away from Hampstead Heath, it\u2019s the perfect place for a spot of lunch after a walk with Fido.\u00a0<\/span>

Nutbourne is a dog-friendly restaurant with a laid back vibe and has a lovely riverside setting on Ransome\u2019s Dock, just over Albert Bridge and a few minutes\u2019 walk away from Battersea Park. A great place for Sunday lunch with furry friends after a nice stroll in the park. They are welcome inside as well as outside on the terrace and you can bring your doggy for dinner too. Expect delicious farm to table fare from the Gladwin’s farm in Sussex, plus water and lots of treats for four-legged friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently renovated, the ivy-clad Aragon House is a super fancy, super dog-friendly pub and the absolute place to meet up on Parsons green. Expect to find plenty of four-legged friends and their stylish owners in the bar area for lunch or dinner. There’s also a lovely garden in the back where you can dine with your dog but it gets very busy in the summer so you need to book ahead. Great burgers, steaks and cocktails and fresh water for your hound!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mildreds, Soho<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

<\/b>This hip hangout in Soho serves a wonderful array of fresh, vibrant and colourful vegetarian and vegan food that is full of flavour. Perfect for a little pit-stop after a stroll down Oxford Street with your pooch in tow, Mildreds is one of the best dog-welcoming restaurants in central London. Your canine companion will be greeted with a stroke and a smile, as well as a bowl of water and maybe a few healthy treats too! There\u2019s also a Mildreds in Camden, Dalston and King\u2019s Cross.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This delightful South-West London pub, located on the bank of the Thames, is the ideal place for dog owners wanting to enjoy a super tasty meal in stunning surroundings. Famed for having one of the best beer gardens in London, there\u2019s no better spot for a summer evening drink with four-legged friends. Dine or drink dockside at the fantastic barbecue bar, the Doolali Bar, which serves a superb selection of British barbecue food. Inside, you\u2019ll find a cosy, chilled out atmosphere with live music and a delectable array of food and local craft beers on offer. What\u2019s more, there\u2019s usually plenty of happy hounds chilling out!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>Ideally located just a 5 minute walk from Portobello and a 10 minute walk from Kensington Gardens and Notting Hill, this super stylish, Art Deco-inspired establishment is an absolute must-visit for those looking for great food and drink in a swanky, elegant setting. After walkies in the beautiful Kensington Gardens, there\u2019s no better place for a swift pint and a pub lunch with Fido. Furry friends are <\/span>welcomed in the bar area where they will receive water and biscuits whilst you tuck into the pub\u2019s famous Sunday roasts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fox and Pheasant, Chelsea\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

<\/b>James Blunt’s charming country pub is tucked away in a discreet corner of Chelsea. Very dog friendly, you can take your best friend with you into the bar and they can accompany you to dinner in the spacious conservatory area, which has a roof that can be rolled back in the summer. Good dogs receive doggy biscuits and it’s not unusual to see a couple of black labradors roaming around the place. Famous pop singer Ed Sheeran has been recently spotted in the bar, too!<\/span><\/p>\n
