Park your car in the car park on the corner of Crabtree Lane and Harewood House<\/a> before crossing the public footpath to begin your walk. Cross the road to the public footpath where the walk takes you through gorgeous countryside towards the river. Take the footbridge to cross the river and continue on and take the right fork in the direction of Trip Lane and Woodhall Hotel and Spa. The Wessenden Valley Walk<\/a> is a fabulous dog-friendly walk which takes you through a moorland valley and crosses through Marsden Village in West Yorkshire. This eight mile walk allows you to explore the gorgeous valley and discover four reservoirs along the way including Blakeley Butterley, Wessenden and Wessenden Head reservoirs. Cultured dogs will love walking around the grounds with over 500 acres of gorgeous parkland to explore and lots of cafes along the way. Almost everywhere is dog-friendly except the indoor exhibitions and the area around the Upper Lake or the Menagerie Wood to protect livestock and wildlife. The Rivelin Valley Nature Trail<\/a> was recently voted one of Sheffield’s top walks and features mostly flat trails which include gorgeous woodland walks and streams along the way – ideal for off lead frolics especially for those dogs who love to paddle. This is one of our favourite walks though it can get rather busy in the summer months. It has a lovely dog-friendly cafe – \u00a0the Rivelin Park cafe serving freshly ground coffee and homemade cakes.<\/p>\n\n\n \n\n<\/p>\n

Tuesday is market day so you would be able to pick up some delicious Wensleydale cheese. If you feel like a longer walk you could walk the Buttertubs Pass, a 5.5-mile stretch which crosses high moorland and links Thwaite in Swaledale with Hawes.<\/p>\n
