Bloodhounds are very gentle and affectionate. However, when out and about they can be a bit of a liability- their excellent nose means they start tracking scents so it’s best to keep them on a lead in unenclosed areas. A padded bed can help to prevent them forming calluses on their joints- although their tendency to drool means you may want to line it with doggy-proof blankets!
