The Border Terrier is a very friendly little dog who gets on well with people, dogs and cats. Small animals and birds, however, are a different story- hide away any hamsters before his hunting instinct kicks in, but do amuse him with motorised toys to chase. Unsurprisingly for a terrier, these dogs love to dig so buried bones and treats make for a very happy dog. Though naturally scruffy, they should be brushed twice a week.
