As a Retriever, the Flat-coated Retriever likes nothing more than a good old game of throw and catch. Forever friendly, they have a puppy-like attitude pemanently- always in good spirits and pleased to meet new people. They suit colder climates so their bed should be kept in a cool part of the house to allow for more comfortable slumber and prevent them overheating. Since they are easily bored, training sessions should be short and sweet rather than drawn out.
