Designed by William Bell circa 1899, Dunvarlich House is a superb example of Arts and Crafts movement architecture and has a Historic Scotland listing category B. The house occupies a stunning position with breathtaking views overlooking the River Tay, with its 18th-century stone bridge, glens and mountains beyond. To the front of the house there are steps that lead down to a beautiful river walk. The house is entered by an Oriental-style vestibule with pale green stained glass, opening into a long, imposing hall and has been lovingly restored and elegantly furnished with antiques for discerning guests and families. It boasts original oak panelling in the drawing room, wood-burning stove, glass sun porch and a quaint, original cloakroom. A double staircase sweeps up either side of a fireplace with log burning stove, leading to four generous bedrooms and two large Victorian bathrooms. The caretakers are resident in a completely separate private rear wing.

Set on the edge of the pretty town of Aberfeldy it combines excellent local amenities including a delicatessen, butcher, galleries, bookshops, restaurants, antique shops and swimming-pool all within easy walking distance with the peace and tranquillity of country living. There is a golf course, putting green, bowling green, play park, tennis courts, river rafting and rock climbing all close by, as well as kayaking, sailing, sauna and gym. This truly is a unique holiday property in a perfect location. Shops ¼ mile.

What a lovely cottage! Within the grounds of the owner’s property, but completely detached and private, this delightful cottage, accessed by a rough track, has stunning expansive views over the fields and hills of rural Perthshire, yet is just a mile or so out of the village of Methven. Inside, the cottage has been lovingly furnished with calming colour schemes. The living room has comfy sofas and a soothing atmosphere and opens up onto the sun room at the rear, which leads to a private patio and hot tub, perfect for an evening soak in peaceful surroundings. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a lovely meal, and upstairs the main bedroom has a quirky element with a shower cubicle also in the room. There is a separate bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs. Outside, the pretty garden gives way to horse paddocks, and beyond are the rolling fields of the surrounding farm.Please note in September, the grain dryer in the adjoining barn can run for long hours.
This is great place to enjoy a varied holiday in the wonderful county of Perthshire. There is easy access to the fair city of Perth itself, with its wide selection of boutique shops, artisan cafés and restaurants. Culture lovers can take in a show at the renowned HorseCross in the centre of Perth, or in the more traditional Perth Theatre. Other recreational facilities include swimming, skating and cinema, as well as plenty of golf in the surrounding area. For golfers, Gleneagles is an easy drive.
The popular town of Crieff is a short drive away, with the Glenturret Distillery well worth a visit, or visit Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre in Comrie, a great place for children and adults alike to interact with native and foreign species amongst wonderful scenery. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Buttercup Bothy is a delightful log cabin on the banks of the River Devon, on Snowplough Meadow in the picturesque village of Glendevon. Surrounded by beautiful scenery in a quiet, private location, it is the perfect countryside location for walking, cycling, golf or just to relax and unwind! Ideal for couples or a small family, to explore the local area and beyond.
The open plan living space with electric wood burner is a lovely area to relax with comfortable seating, kitchen area and dining table. There are two well-presented bedrooms, a twin and a double, and a shower room. The front of the lodge has a private decked area, just the spot for morning coffee and al fresco dining and offers fabulous views over the river to the hills. Set in 2 acres of grounds, Snowplough Meadow shared with the 9 other lodges on site, this is a great family friendly location. The local hotel is just 500 yards away for meals out and local ales.
The village of Dollar is only 7 miles away with the ancient Castle Campbell, riverside walks and offers a good selection of quality place to eat, coffee shop, local hotel and local shops. The Japanese Garden just outside of Dollar is open during the summer months and is worth a visit. Just 10 minutes’ drive takes you to the championship golf resort at Gleneagles and with over 20 local courses in the area this is the ideal location for a golfing holiday. For days out, there are visitor attractions and places of interest to visit; the historic city of Stirling with its magnificent castle, shopping centre and several visitor attractions only a 30-minute drive away, whisky distilleries including the oldest working distillery in Scotland, Glenturret, nearby. Blairdrummond Safari Park and Auchingarrich Wild Life Centre makes a family friendly day out.

In a splendid location in highland Perthshire, Frith View overlooks the lochan and deer park. This is the perfect location for friends and family to spend time together and explore this area of natural beauty. It is a spacious and bright contemporary detached lodge furnished to an excellent standard. The living areas have floor to ceiling windows so you can take advantage of the ever changing views. Patio doors lead to the private decked area and is ideal for watching the stars at night. The country park, which comprises of several holiday lodges and is accessed via a rough track, covers 35 acres with a lochan that is a haven for wildlife all year round. A great location for exploring the great outdoors there are activities to suit all. For the energetic, there are seven munros to climb within 10 miles, including Ben Lawers, Perthshire’s highest mountain. Schiehallion, Dun Beag and Dun Coillich can be seen from Frith View. It is also ideal countryside for cycling and mountain biking in the forests.

For a day out, and only 5 miles along the road at the end of Loch Tay, is the pretty conservation village of Kenmore where guests can enjoy riverside walks, participate in water sports, take a boat trip on the loch or discover several excellent places to eat. The Croft na Caber Centre, which is a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling built over the water is one of the most renowned watersports centres in Scotland. The village hosts regular events, each January there is a ceremony to mark the opening of the salmon fishing season, as the Tay is one of the finest angling rivers, and there is a firework display at New Year. Aberfeldy is only a 20 minutes drive with local interesting independent shops, a supermarket, galleries, eating places, a community run cinema and an award-winning book shop. The famous Dewar’s Whisky Distillery offers tour and sampling and there are riverside walks and white water rafting for the more adventurous. A Highland safari takes you up into the mountains to see local wildlife including deer, peregrine falcons, ospreys and golden eagles. This area has many historic buildings, castles and gardens which you can visit to discover the rich history of the area. Shop 9 miles, pub and restaurant 8 miles.

Westholme is a charming, 19th-century cottage, tucked away in the heart of the picturesque village of St Fillans retaining several its original features. As you approach the house you are welcomed by a lovely front garden and driveway with space for two cars. You enter the house via a sun porch which is a real sun trap in the summer and an ideal spot to bird watch in the spring. Downstairs there is a comfortable living room and a spacious dining room, leading into the fully equipped galley-style kitchen with adjacent toilet. The back door leads to the annex and back garden. The annex accommodates the washing machine and dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The garden is large and planted with mature shrubs, bulbs and beautiful wisteria. There is a generous sized lawn, outdoor furniture and plenty of space to eat al fresco. Outside you can admire Ben Lorvic in the distance and listen to the bird song.
Take a stroll to the end of the road and you will find yourself on the edge of the River Earn, just as it opens out onto the stunning Loch Earn. With tea rooms, a village shop, bar and restaurant all within walking distance, this is an amazing place to come and relax. There are numerous activities for young and old, active and sedate, and everyone in between! Hiking, biking, water sports, angling, golf, bird watching and visiting local sites of interest are all within easy reach. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. There is a spacious lawn to the front of the which is not enclosed so pets or young children will need to be supervised. If you need to work while staying at the cottage there is high speed fibre broadband which has recently been installed.
Located six miles from the historic city of Perth, Gardeners Cottage offers a rural location with forest walks and cycle rides on the doorstep. Renovated throughout and furnished to a high standard, this is the ideal romantic getaway for a couple and yet only a few steps from the centre of Aberfeldy. On the ground floor you will find an impressive well-equipped kitchen, a shower room, a wee snug room with Smart TV, wood burner to cuddle up by in the evening, and the perfect little dining area for enjoying a takeaway or a lovingly prepared meal for a loved one. Upstairs is a very large open bedroom with a sumptuous super kingsize bed on one side of the room, and a double sofa bed on the other, should you need additional or alternative sleeping, and is a great space to relax in and read. Outside the owner has sectioned off a part of the garden specially for guests to sit out and enjoy.

Just 6 miles away you will find Loch Tay, one of the largest lochs in Perthshire, framed by majestic mountains and hillside farms and cottages.
