Adjoining the owners’ home, with lovely walking from the doorstep, it makes an ideal base from which to explore the numerous places of interest on this beautiful island. Bembridge, its natural harbour crammed with yachts and houseboats, Brading Roman Villa, Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House – the summer home designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in the 1840s – are all well worth a visit, as are the island’s steam railway, the zoo and the busy yachting centre of Cowes. Riding and golf close by. Shop and pub 0.5 miles.

This delightful holiday property is comfortably furnished and well placed for relaxing, and enjoys views over the open countryside. Noted for its temperate climate, the island is easily explored from the scenic beauty of West Wight to the sandy beaches of Sandown Bay, Shanklin and Ventnor. Also worth a visit is the busy yachting haven at Cowes. Hampton House is now available for booking in 2023. This stunning house, with accessed via an electric gate, benefits from parking for six cars, security cameras, air conditioning and has a fast Wi-Fi speed covering the entirety of the property including outside.
The large farmhouse kitchen has all the necessary appliances required for your holiday and the whole property is integrated with a Sonos music system, which includes a connection to the outside space. There is a laundry room with two washing machines and two tumble dryers along with a butler sink. You also have an office space if you have the unfortunate dilemma of having to work whilst on holiday. A games room with a pool table and a darts board is fun for all the family. The formal living room with a cosy fireplace, is perfect for a relaxing evening, but should you wish to dine formally, then you can do so in a separately in a lovely room which seats up to eight people. There is a tranquil Pebble room with bi-folding doors that leads out to the indoor-outdoor area with a kitchen, BBQ area with an outdoor fireplace, a hidden drop-down Smart TV with steps sinking into the heated pool. The stunning pool area is complemented with loungers resting in shallow water attached to the pool. There is a hot tub area and gazebo with outdoor sofas and plenty of seating for comfort and outside dining.
From the spacious entrance is a grand staircase leading to the four bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own wing of the house, whilst three of the bedrooms can be provided with a travel cot. All bedrooms in Hampton House are furnished to a very high standard with en-suites and air conditioning.
There is a separate lodge with a kingsize bedroom and gorgeous en-suite, along with a kitchenette area making this a great space for a couple who wants to be separate from the rest of the gang!

A utility room and downstairs toilet are also provided for your convenience. The vast show stopping kitchen (custom designed by Tom Howley of Surrey), living room and dining area is the perfect place to spend quality time together. The dining table seating ten or more guests is bordered with windows overlooking the lush green gardens and the garden itself is accessed via patio doors. The patio holds a beautiful outdoor sofa, the perfect place to relax your afternoons and evenings away. There is a gas barbecue to provide culinary delights for your friends and family all within the same setting, so the chef is never far from the party!
The Farmhouse is a perfect base to relax, unwind in and explore this unique corner of Britain. With many attractions, countryside and seaside resorts, there is definitely something for everyone. If you want to stay local, the beautiful Brook Bay is a 2-minute drive away and the sunsets on this side of the island are a must see, just stunning.
Osborne House was once Queen Victoria’s favourite residence and is now open to the public and well worth a visit, as are Carisbrook Castle, The Needles rock formations, Robin Hill park with acres of parkland, natural woodland, countryside gardens, adventures and special events, Ventnor Botanical Gardens and Shanklin Chine, a deep wooded gorge with streams and waterfalls. The model village at Godshill is also not to be missed as this gives a good overview of the island and its attractions, all in miniature of course.

Those of you hoping to take in some of the Wight’s scenery with coastal walks will be in your element, and with the iconic Tennyson Down nearby, you’ll have plenty of reason to get your walking boots on. The surfers amongst you will enjoy nearby Compton Beach, and for other water sports enthusiasts, you’ll find Freshwater Bay a stones throw away - where you can hire sea kayaks to explore the caves or even go coasteering.

This detached home is situated just a short walk to Steephill Cove’s beach, which lies just south west of the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor. Steephill is a traditional, unspoilt fishing cove with a sand and shingle beach nestled between rocky cliffs and smugglers coves. The bay has no road access, which makes it a unique hidden gem. Find your way down the pathways and enjoy fresh crab and lobster, see what you can find hidden amongst the rockpools or relax and enjoy watching the children play. Ventnor is just over a mile away. Most of the town is built on a steep hill which leads to the beach, and there are a number of lovely tea shops, pubs and restaurants dotted along the esplanade, as well as quirky and bespoke shops, an award-winning park and a children’s paddling pool.

Stretch your legs and explore the amazing coastal paths in both directions from the property. Alternatively, outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on the island, including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Blackgang Chine, Tapnell Farm Park and Carisbrooke Castle.
