As you arrive on the private drive, there is ample parking for up to five cars, enter into the property on the ground floor where you will find a large kitchen with dining table, a superb dining room, study and lounge with an open fire. Bakewell is the largest town in the Peak District National Park and is the perfect base from which to explore everything that this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Skye House itself is located just a short 10-minute walk from Bakewell town centre.

Head up a flight of steps to the front door where you enter the hallway of this beautiful home, finished to a high, modern standard. The property offers two lounges, the first main lounge leads off from the kitchen and has a Smart TV, the second lounge is classed as the snug with dark interiors, a wood burner and a Smart TV making it a lovely cosy spot to enjoy the evening together with friends and family. On the second floor is the fourth and final bedroom with a super king zip and link bed, plus a pull out small since bed suitable for a child if this is required. The second bathroom is situated on the second floor with a bath with a shower attachment. There is a raised patio area with high quality, comfortable furniture with sunshade and a BBQ so you can relax and enjoy dinning alfresco whilst watching the sheep in the field behind. Leave the car behind and explore Bakewell itself with its quaint and classic shop fronts and many independent shops. Visit the famous Bakewell pudding shop or any of the many other cafes, restaurants, and pubs that Bakewell has to offer. Take a stroll along the River Wye which runs through the centre of the town and walk over the love lock bridge. Bakewell has a popular market every Monday and a farmers’ market one Saturday a month.

The picturesque towns of Matlock and Buxton are easily accessible from Bakewell. For keen walkers you are perfectly located to access both the white and dark peak areas of the National Park. For the less adventurous there are local walks that can be done from the house including the Monsal trail which runs along the old Matlock to Buxton railway line and now is flat, car free walking and cycling route.
