The former barn, dating back to the early 19th century, has been beautifully converted into a delightful retreat for both families and couples. Outside, relax in the private garden and enjoy alfresco dining, or stroll in the nearby scenic Stackpole Estate (NT) and discover its fantastic walks and beautiful sites including the glistening Bosherston Lily Ponds, famous for its otters and water lilies, and the stunning beaches at Broadhaven and Barafundle, with their golden sands and crystal blue waters.
The historic walled town of Pembroke is just 3 miles away and features a magnificent Norman castle, which is famous as the birthplace of Henry VII. The bustling coastal resort of Tenby is within easy reach and is renowned for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and pastel painted Georgian houses. It has a variety of boutique gift shops, traditional pubs and highly acclaimed restaurants.
Take a boat trip to the historic island of Caldey, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. Away from the coast, explore the rolling hills of Preseli and discover its ancient sites dotted along its rugged terrain, or visit the market town of Narbeth, with its antique shops, art galleries and numerous cafés and tasteful restaurants. Wanting more, there is a further additional seating area with fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows, all while having views across the open countryside. You will find it hard to tear yourself away, but should you manage to do so, you will find a wealth of local attractions to explore and enjoy. Visit Thetford Forest for High Lodge Forest Adventure, Go Ape high ropes course and lots of great walking and cycling routes. There is a local inn only 2.5 miles away, offering good food and drink (dogs welcome).
The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is only 9 miles away; boasting its Viking history along with an Abbey, Cathedral, Theatre Royal, Cineworld complex, Arc Shopping Centre and Apex events venue to name just a few. In addition, you will find a variety of eateries, cafes, bars, and fine dining.
For further exploring, nearby Newmarket (17 miles) the local home of horseracing and events, Cambridge (29 miles), a historic and famous university city, Norwich (32 miles) and the stunning Suffolk and Norfolk coastline offering wide sandy beaches.

Eastacombe is a traditional, detached village cottage that has undergone a complete transformation, having been totally renovated and extended in 2022/23. Access by car is easy to Eggesford Forest (10 miles towards Exeter), with the local country pub just a bit further along the A377 where you can have lunch before a walk in the woods. If you like a round of golf, more locally is Libbaton Golf Club at High Bickington, just 3 miles away, where anyone can have a game along with a beer or two and a meal.
The amazing accommodation on offer comprises four bedrooms on the first floor; two with lovely en-suites and all with Smart TVs. On the ground floor you’ll find the fifth bedroom, plus there’s a handy additional wet room. Within easy reach by car are the county’s two National Parks; Exmoor and Dartmoor. The location is 8 miles from the regional capital town of Barnstaple with its many cafés and restaurants, Queens Theatre, multi-screen cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, a purpose-built tennis centre with indoor and outdoor courts, and an indoor trampoline centre. Just 30 miles to the south is the historic city of Exeter.
North Devon is famed for its fantastic natural attractions such as Exmoor National Park, with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Lynton and Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village. If stunning beaches are your thing, then the region will leave you spoilt for choice with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! Beaches. The fantastic South West Coast Path runs through the region’s rugged coastline, perfect for walkers and view seekers and offering 90 miles of stunning walks.

The sea and the beach are so close, you can almost touch them. Blue Beach House sits in a prime position over looking Ilfracombe’s picturesque and bustling harbour. This terraced property has been thoughtfully designed to ensure you enjoy a comfortable and relaxing holiday. Seek out Damian Hirst’s ’Verity’ sculpture - a great topic of conversation. The Victorian Tunnels Beaches are worth a visit and are also a sought after wedding venue. A walk up to St Nicholas Chapel will give you a great view over the harbour and town. Enjoy a spot of crabbing from the pier and there a numerous sightseeing and fishing trips leaving from the harbour.
During your stay, there is plenty to see and do in the local area and slightly further afield. Good days out include Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away and on a clear day the views can be spectacular. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington. This delightful country cottage is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city whilst being close to the beautiful Suffolk coast. Suffolk is an area of outstanding natural beauty, thriving with wildlife, stunning scenery and beautiful walks. The unspoilt and quieter beach at Covehithe is just a 2-minute drive and a further 6-minute drive will take you to the renowned coastal town of Southwold, with its sandy beach, colourful beach huts, iconic pier and lighthouse, and a great selection of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as the Adnams Brewery.
Wrentham is a delightful village and being close to Southwold along the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The village has a good range of amenities including a village shop and post office, two pubs serving good food and Chinese takeaway. For those that prefer to eat out, you will be delighted with the gastro pubs within the surrounding area, and there is a pub serving good food just a 1-minute walk away. Beach 2 miles. Shops ½ mile, pub/restaurant 50 yards.

This beautiful sandstone cottage which was converted from a former stable is situated in the pretty hamlet of Greystoke Gill, on the fringe of The Lake District National Park. Greystoke Gill has the benefit of east access from the M6 and is ideally placed to visit Ullswater, Keswick and the Northern Lakes. There is a shop and pub and an outdoor swimming pool in the nearby village of Greystoke, with more amenities in the bustling market town of Penrith, five miles to the East. The cottage itself provides the perfect retreat at the end of a good days walking to relax and unwind in tranquil surroundings. Cherry Garth Cottages are located in the centre of Thornton le Dale, ’Yorkshire’s little gem’. Cherry Blossom has been named after the cherry trees which border the garden. The cottage has been built from beautiful traditional Yorkshire stone, and is tucked away in the grounds of the owner’s home Cherry Garth. It has an open plan living area with a welcoming wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a busy day out exploring the spectacular Yorkshire coast and countryside, and upon arrival you will be welcomed with a lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. There are lovely views from the property onto the garden and the bedroom window overlooks the paddock, where sheep graze.

The picturesque village of Thornton le Dale is located on the edge of the North York Moors, a mere one mile from Pickering. From here you can take a ride on the famous steam train to Grosmont, Goathland (aka Aidensfield in the classic TV series Heartbeat) and the seaside town of Whitby where you can climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey. Those looking for a quieter pace of life may prefer to walk the many footpaths and bridleways over the North York Moors.
