Furnished to a good standard, the accommodation provides a perfect retreat for couples wanting to explore this part of rural Snowdonia. The open plan living area is well-equipped and has plenty of storage and worktop space, together with a breakfast bar, and there is a comfortable leather sofa and flatscreen Freeview TV in the living room. The bathroom is surprisingly generous and has a powerful shower, and the bedroom is also very comfortable and features a kingsize bed. With everything on the ground floor, you’ll find it offers easy access. Outside there’s a small patio area where you can relax with a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sea views. There is also a larger garden area shared with two other cottages, also sleeping 2 (refs UK6584 and UK6586).
    Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech and explore its impressive castle. Take leisurely walks from the door or spend a day at the nearby sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn. The owners have lovingly decorated the property to a good standard, accentuating those features. A pebble beach is only 5 minutes’ walk, and the sandy beach at Fairbourne is 3 miles away. A short stroll leads to the railway station, where you catch a train for lovely journeys through the superb scenery of Cardigan Bay, to the harbour towns of Barmouth and Aberdyfi, with a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants. The harbour at Barmouth is beautiful and you can walk across the spectacular Barmouth Bridge spanning the river. Excellent walking, cycling, riding, golf and bird watching are enjoyed locally. With Bird Rock just down the road and a view of Snowdon from the beach. If you’re lucky you may even see dolphins swimming in the bay.
