Princessa Cottage is a welcoming and cosy, terraced coastal cottage within a minutes’ walk of Bembridge beach on the east of the Isle of Wight. The cottage has a sociable and comfortable, open plan kitchen, dining and living area with feature lighting and patio door leading to a rear enclosed courtyard with table and chairs and even a place for buckets and spades. On the ground floor is a separate toilet and bedroom with a single day bed. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and dressing tables, and a family bathroom with shower cubicle and freestanding bath, perfect for a long soak after a day of exploring.
The beach is accessed via steps from the neighbouring gravelled car park. There are two great eateries along this stretch of coast, both specialising in seafood and overlooking the sea. There are also plenty of opportunities to try some water sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing or kayaking. Beach 175 yards. Shop ½ mile, pub 175 yards and restaurant 1 mile.

This Grade II listed, thatched holiday cottage offers far reaching countryside views. One of a pair, it has many character features such as beams, low ceilings and picture windows and is a 15-minute walk from a sandy beach. Fresh crab and lobster can be purchased from the local shop, or the charming village of Bembridge, 1 mile, has a fine sandy beach, fishing and a super harbour. Enjoy golf, riding, wind surfing and kite surfing in the area. Visit Amazon World, Robin Hill Adventure Park, Sandown Zoo, Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle and Ventnor Botanical Gardens. St Helens is a coastal village on the east side of the island, with a village pub and shop just a moment’s stroll away from Coed Faen. There is a large village green that offers excellent views over the busy harbour of Bembridge, and is also home to the ruins of St Helens Church which was destroyed by a wave in the 18th century. A lovely beach is not far away either, making this location lots of fun for the kids and adults alike. Despite being a small village St Helens has some great places to eat. There are a couple of popular restaurants and cafés, one of which sits beach-side down at the Duver. The Isle of Wight has lots to offer. Outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf.
There are numerous attractions for all ages across the island including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. You can also visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, as well as Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes.
