Stonham Barns has an array of activities to suit all ages. For the children there are amusements, an adventure golf, play barn and new for 2023, an aqua park. The two fishing lakes are set in a tree-lined corner, and are fully stocked with a mixture of carp. The popular Suffolk Owl Sanctuary on-site is home to over 80 owls and birds of prey, meerkats, ferrets, rabbits and red squirrels. Flying displays are held daily from Easter to September. There is a large bar/restaurant where you can watch sports or play darts, as well as air hockey and a amusement area for the children. There is also an outside garden area. Why not pop along to the on-site theatre and watch a music act? If you fancy a bit of retail therapy there is an array of independent retailers on-site, including a hairdresser, pottery, café and antique centre.
If you can tear yourself from Stonham Barns, then a visit to the Suffolk coast is a great way to spend a day. Southwold offers an array of independent shops and restaurants, and is home to Adnams Brewery. Also worth visiting are Thorpeness, situated around the Mere with its Peter Pan themed islands, Aldeburgh, with its famous fish and chip shop, and Bury St Edmunds, where you can take a treasure trail to learn more about this historic town.
