Resting in a secluded spot with an abundance of wonderful wildlife, The Foxglove is an idyllic hideaway for a couple or family desiring a rural escape, enjoying tranquil skies and nights around the fire.

    The Foxglove features a small galley kitchen area with an electric two ring hob, a microwave combination oven, under-counter fridge, toaster and kettle, and a DAB radio. There is an extendable dining table for up to four guests. A large, raised deck with ramp access has been designed to support the needs of mobility impaired guests, and just off the kitchen is a wet room with electric shower, basin and WC. For the cooler months the hut is super-insulated and has electric tubular heating.

    Two dogs are welcome and there are kennels on site if required. Horses are welcome with prior notice. There is grazing and stabling available on site at additional cost. Foxglove sits alongside three further huts, Cow Parsley, Teasel and The Beach Hut, each sleeping up to four guests which are ideal for larger parties who wish to holiday together.

    Ancroft is a very small rural village, it sits just 5 miles from the popular Berwick Upon Tweed, take a stroll to one of four beautiful beaches, offering water sporting opportunities, breath-taking scenery, and plenty of family excitement. Enjoy a relaxing game of golf, or enrich yourself with the history of Berwick Castle, involved in many Anglo-Saxon wars, there’s plenty to uncover. Take a scenic stroll along the River Tweed before enjoying lunch in one of the many eateries on offer or take a trip to nearby Duns to discover its award-winning butcher and delicatessen, alongside being an exciting hub for racing enthusiasts with its Jim Clark Museum and the Jim Clark Rally.

Built from larch wood, with private timber deck, the property delivers all the fun of hut living while adding comfort and mod-cons. Doors lead from the deck into a whimsical living area which radiates charm with its blue-washed timber panels and enamelware colander lamp shade.

    There’s a compact kitchen, rustic dining table and comfy chairs to relax in and enjoy the warmth of the ‘real flame effect’ tubular heater stove. Leading off to one side is the light and airy master bedroom. Subtle strip lighting throws light upwards to the pitched roof, giving a sense of height. A bathroom with electric shower, basin and WC leads off to the other side of the living area while a mezzanine floor, accessed by a Companionway ladder, features two twin beds beneath the blue and white painted pitched roof. Ideal for older children comfortable with climbing ladders, this floor is also accessible via an external set of steps.
