This holiday home is located a short drive from Buxton’s town centre, in the village of Harpur Hill, which has a shop, chip shop, good pub serving home made food and great ales and a convenient trail route for a brisk 45 minute walk. Buxton’s town centre has a variety of restaurants serving different cuisines, independent shops and cafés plus it is home to Buxton’s Opera House with shows on weekly, and the Pavillion Gardens which is lovely to walk around in the afternoon. Further afield you can visit Castleton and check out the caverns by boat, explore other towns such as Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock, visit Chatsworth House and soak in some history or take a stroll on the nearest well known route, the High Peak trail which has pubs and ice cream stops en route.

Pyegreave Cottage sits on the hillside on the outskirts of Combs village, located close to Buxton, Castleton and Edale, which are all fantastic walking routes to explore. The stables formed part of one of the old barns on Pyegreave Farm, which in 1840 was purchased at a local auction by Florence Nightingales Father who lived in the village a considerable amount of time. One of the most popular attractions in Combs is the reservoir, it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers opportunities for walking, fishing and birdwatching, the area is also popular for cyclists who enjoy the challenging hills. There is a local pub in the village which serves delicious home cooked food and real local ales. Walnut Cottage is situated in a fantastic location in Buxton, within walking distance to all the attractions such as the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton Opera House and cinema, as well as a large number of cafés, pubs and restaurants available. There are plenty of walking routes and trails nearby such as Goyt Valley and the High Peak Trail. A short drive out of Buxton are neighbouring towns such as Ashbourne and Matlock, as well as the historic areas of Chatsworth House and Castleton, with its caverns you can explore.

Buxton Holiday Home is a three-bedroom detached property, located in a quiet cul-de-sac location (once awarded Buxton’s best kept street), within walking distance of town and all amenities. From the doorstep of Ash Cottage, you can walk to the many restaurants, bars and pubs that the town has to offer, as well as lovely cafés and independent shops. There are many walks from the town, such as the High Peak trail and the Tissington trail, as well as Castleton and the caverns.

On the ground floor of Crawshaw Cottage is an open-plan kitchen and diner with patio doors backing onto the lawned garden. The kitchen has everything in place for you to prepare a delicious meal which can be enjoyed around the dining room table, and there is also a sofa area here with a small TV. The sitting room offers ample seating to relax and enjoy a series or film on the Smart TV, a toilet is also available on the ground floor.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master is a kingsize bed with TV and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom is made up of two twin beds which can be linked together to make a super-kingsize bed if requested, the third bedroom is a small room and only has a bunk bed with 4ft double on the bottom bunk and single bed on top. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside is a private garden which is enclosed and has garden furniture. You also have access to the garage where you can store bikes/luggage, and the driveway provides parking for one car but there is ample street parking directly outside as well.
Buxton has a lot to offer for holiday makers, there are countless walking routes close by such as Solomans Temple or hop in the car to Tissington or High Peak trail. Castleton is a short drive where you can walk or explore the caverns or take a trip to Chatsworth House. Buxton town centre has many delicious restaurants, pubs and bars as well as independent cafés, a 5* spa plus the opera house with shows on weekly. Alton Towers is a short 45 minute drive away.
