Ty Lewis Cottage was once the family home and has been finished to an excellent standard with a spacious well-equipped kitchen with exposed stone walls and beams. This leads through to the warm and cosy living room, again retaining lots of character with exposed stone walls, beams, log burner and shutters. The bright and airy dining room is perfect for enjoying formal meals together with your friends and family. It is furnished with a large dining table, bookcase and a variety of books and games to enjoy with the whole family.
On the first floor, each bedroom has been designed with comfort in mind and decorated lovingly throughout. The master suite boasts en-suite Jack and Jill facilities with bedroom two, and high quality linen make for the perfect night’s sleep. On those balmy summer days, enjoy some relaxation time with a good book by the fishpond, in this impeccably kept enclosed garden with a vast array of plants in bloom, and even a summer house complete, with a children‘s multi-games table, ideal for a competition.
Burry Port is also 5 minutes away where you can admire the famous lighthouse, which dates back to 1842. It has become part of the landscape and is admired and photographed by so many. On the harbourside you can enjoy some refreshments in the café and take in the boats coming and going.

Please note if sleeping in the living area there are no blinds over the roof lantern in adjacent kitchen-diner, therefore light will come through in the early morning however it’s just perfect for lying in bed and stargazing in the world renowned Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. From the living area there are French doors leading on to the slate patio area of the garden. The boot/utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and Smart TV, and a twin room, both with their own en-suite bathrooms.
The outside space is just fabulous, with a large slate patio complete with luxury outdoor furniture overlooking Llandeilo and the River Towy and an enclosed grassed area. Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.
The heart of Llandeilo is on your doorstep and the town holds various events throughout the year, including a music festival, jazz festival and the unique Festival of Senses in November. On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? A short but energetic walk across the famous King’s bridge and up the hill into the town which is renowned for its award-winning chocolate shop, gin bar, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants. It has a large, enclosed lawned garden for those bringing their dogs, there is also a field in which the dogs can run around.
