With uninterrupted, stunning views and direct access to wonderful walks, Gwar Nant Cottage, renovated by the owners, is a very stylish holiday home lying in an enviable position within Rhandirmwyn, the small Carmarthenshire village with a big reputation. Dating back to the 1850s this beautiful holiday home was originally the Mill Keeper’s Cottage at Cleifion Mill. The cottage has been modernised throughout with plenty of character and charm restored too.
Sleeping up to six guests, the accommodation is comfortable and spacious throughout. There are three bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor, you’ll enter through the porch and find a handy utility room with a toilet and a separate kitchen which leads through to the main living room. The living room is cosy and has a lovely wood burner surrounded by comfortable seating and a wall-mounted Smart TV to sit back and relax after a day out exploring. Across the hallway, there is a separate dining room and a conservatory. The conservatory leads out to the enclosed garden where you’ll find a decked seating area overlooking the lawned garden. Trefechan is a lovely, detached bungalow set a mile back from the local village of Pumpsaint. A great place to base yourself to explore the local countryside. It has a large, enclosed lawned garden for those bringing their dogs, there is also a field in which the dogs can run around. This property comprises of a large open plan living and dining room with views over the open countryside, a well-equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with two single beds. It has a bathroom with a shower over the bath. In the garden there is a private hot tub which overlooks the countryside.

There are plenty of activities in the area such as horse riding, taking a walk in Cae Hir Gardens and a must see is a visit to the Welsh Quilt Centre. The town of Llandeilo is 12 miles away, which hosts many festivals such as the jazz and gin festivals, the town is full of boutique shops and restaurants. The award-winning Nation Show Caves for Wales are 20 miles from the property, a fabulous place to keep children and adults alike entertained for the whole day. Ty Isaf (meaning ‘lower house’), is situated within the Brecon Beacons National Park, just outside the Carmarthenshire village of Trapp. There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside and Carreg Cennen Castle from the cottage grounds.
