This spacious semi-detached property, next to the owners’ home, has been renovated yet retains some of its original features, including fireplaces and high ceilings. The large galley style kitchen offers a fantastic space to entertain friends and family, and is complete with a dining area and focal wood burner. Gwylfa is only a 10-minute drive away from the Millennium Coastal Path, which runs along this sublime coastline and can be explored by foot or bicycle (hire available locally). One of Wales’ top attractions, Pembrey Country Park with its many footpaths, 8 miles of golden sandy beach, 550 acres of woodlands, dry ski slope and the longest toboggan run in Wales, is only a short drive away. Travelling inland, you will find the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, complete with the largest single span glass house in the world. Beach 4 miles. Not too near but not too far, Bunny Meadows is surrounded by a wealth of historic attractions and you will be centrally located for Pembrokeshire and the whole of south Wales. The Gower has lots to offer and many tourist attractions are only a short drive away. Locally the towns of Carmarthen and St Clears are only a 6 minute drive. The village shop, pub and restaurant are only 1½ miles….no hustle and bustle of busy tourist towns here!
Take a trip to Llanstephan and enjoy afternoon tea in the mansion house or walk on the sandy beach and then visit the castle. Only 15 minutes away is Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, again with a beautiful sandy beach and castle with a tearoom. There is also Pembrey Country Park or Heatherton and Oakwood theme parks to visit or for younger guests (and parents!) visit Folly Farm with lambs, all things fluffy and even tigers and giraffes. A short drive away is Skanda Vale a multi faith ashram which welcomes 90,000 pilgrims a year for those who need a peaceful retreat to stay whilst visiting the temples. Marros Hill Log Cabin is set within grounds of the owners small holding, nestled on the edge of the valley and enjoying sweeping views down across the Carmarthenshire countryside and out towards this beautiful coastline. Enjoy a short walk to the quaint hamlet of Marros or in 20 minutes you can be enjoying Marros beach which on low tide joins Pendine beach with 7 miles of golden sands all accessible on foot. Pendine is made famous for the land speed record, which was achieved by Malcolm Campbell; here you can step back in time at the Museum of Speed on the waterfront, enjoy the local traditional Welsh pub for an evening meal, breakfast at the café, and village shop with all the essentials.
