For the more intrepid adventurer Pen Y Pass route for mount Snowdon is only 10 miles away, with the more popular Llanberis route 16 miles distance.
Further down the coast less than 30 minutes’ drive, is the walled harbour town of Conwy, home to the smallest house in Britain and the imposing UNESCO world heritage site of Conwy Castle.
