This spacious, detached holiday cottage for two has a pleasant enclosed lawned garden with garden furniture for al fresco dining, and is situated in the village of Betws-Yn-Rhos, just opposite a 16th century inn. Walkers love this area and there are sandy beaches just a few miles away. It makes a great base from which to explore the area, with the Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay, the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and historic Conwy with its castle within easy reach, whilst in the other direction the city of Chester makes for a great day out. Walk the castle walls, catch a boat from the harbour, go crabbing at the marina, or follow the picturesque coastal path to Morfa Conwy, a beautiful sandy and dog-friendly beach. Bodlondeb Park a few minutes’ walk is where you will find open green space, a children’s park, and tennis courts, it’s dog friendly so perfect for your four-legged friend. Explore Conwy Mountain, where you will often see the beautiful Carneddau Ponies roaming wild, all within walking distance from the front door of the cottage. A short drive of under 10 minutes and you’ll discover the little-known, yet award winning Conwy Vineyard, well worth a visit for any wine novice or connoisseur. You are also within easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park, the bustling seaside resort of Llandudno, Surf Snowdonia and Zip world. There really is something for everyone in this fabulous area. Peacefully located in the beautiful village of Llysfaen, this cottage provides countryside views as far as the eye can see. Set over two levels, you enter into a thoughtfully designed living area with smart Tv and comfortable sofas. On cooler evenings, light the woodburning fire to create a cosy atmosphere to relax. Through the doorway you will find a modern, well designed and equipped kitchen providing everything you need to prepare an evening meal or full Welsh breakfast with an electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Up to the first floor, typical of a cottage of this era, there is a step leading off from the top of the stairs into a bedroom on one side and onto the landing on the other side. The master bedroom with kingsize bed boasts a quality mattress for your comfort. The second bedroom has bunk beds, ideal for children. Take a short stroll around the village, up to the top of Mynydd Marian to take in the spectacular far reaching sea views, dropping down the other side to enjoy a pint in the local pub. The village also has a shop, Chinese takeaway and lovely church. Animal lovers are very well catered for, with stunning rural walks literally from your doorstep and wide expanse of sandy beaches less than two miles away in Llanddulas. Join scenic footpaths straight from your doorstep, go onwards and upwards from the cottage and you’ll come to two lovely, little-visited lakes, Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. Trefriw has a vibrant heart, so expect a friendly welcome at the post office/shop, the award-winning butchers, the fantastic working woollen mill, in the two pubs, and in the brasserie and local café. Trefriw is blessed with two of the most spectacular lakes (Geirionydd and Crafnant). Both lakes lie in the most stunning surroundings and offer different facilities. Geirionydd offers watersports for everyone (paddle and powerboating) whilst Crafnant is a much more peaceful environment. The community lead project Trefriw Trails has 8 waymarked trails which are suited to all ages and abilities for walking and cycling.
