    Lesnewth is a magical hamlet with an ancient church and a scattering of farms.
    The Leat was completed just a few years ago and this beautiful barn conversion is a spacious and very well presented property. Set out in reverse style, the first floor has a large open plan living room, dining room and kitchen with a lovely high ceiling and exposed beams. The main living area is kept snug and cosy with a wood burning stove and is furnished with two comfortable sofa beds. All the bedrooms are spacious with pine floors.     Great Trevillian Farm is a working sheep farm and offers a well-stocked carp lake for a spot of fishing, a children’s play area and the opportunity to feed Boris and Donald the Kune Kune pigs and pat the friendly ponies.
    Tizzy Barn (CWC488161) is a beautiful barn conversion that boasts superb open plan living downstairs yet maintains a traditional feel. There is a cosy wood burner and comfy sofas which will make it a treat for a winter break. At the other end of the building is a set of French windows that open out into the enclosed patio garden. Upstairs the master bedroom has bi-fold doors to a Juliet balcony and an en-suite shower room.     The Bothy (CWC575120) is a semi-detached, listed cottage, nestled alongside the main farmhouse, with two bedrooms it is an ideal size for a small family yet not too big for a couple, the terrace is private and protected, you are bound to have pheasants wandering in front of the living room windows while you are kept cosy by the wood burning stove. Located in a small hamlet of about ten houses and converted barns, this peaceful rural location is a wonderful place to escape to at any time of year. A great dog friendly cottage too! The barn itself is set out in reverse style with open plan living space on the first floor and access into the enclosed garden.     Madison is a lovely Swedish designed, detached holiday property situated not far from the beach and benefiting from being just under 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude. The property can comfortably accommodate eight guests with all rooms on one level.
    There are three bedrooms; one with a super kingsize bed, Smart TV and a lovely en-suite with a multi spray unit, double walk-in shower plus a bath and the other two both being twins (one with a handy sink in it). There’s also a family shower room, again with double walk-in shower. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow.

    A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 16 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 27 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!

    Above Portscatho lies the village of Gerrans, only a 5-minute walk up the hill. The mediaeval church, that stands opposite, has served as an invaluable landmark to generations of local fishermen. Take the cliff path north out of Portscatho and in under 20 minutes you’ll be standing on the beautiful Porthcurnick beach. At low tide Porthcurnick has acres of flat sand perfect for games of cricket, but you might have to wade out a bit to get a decent swim! Further east still are Carne beach and Pendower beach which at low tide join to form an even bigger expanse of sand where dogs are allowed all year round. Beach 150 yards.
