Hunkered down a winding country lane alive with wildflowers, Trevigue is a very special holiday cottage sleeping up to six guests and will create the type of Cornish holiday where treasured memories are made. This cottage is very remote, not overlooked and extremely private with its own drive and only a 20-minute walk to the lovely Crackington Haven with two cafés and a pub.
Once inside you will notice the stylish décor which is underpinned with a delightfully quirky home-from-home charm. There are four beautiful first floor bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 6ft super kingsize bed which can also be configured as two singles, whilst the second bedroom boasts a kingsize bed adorned with fine linens and super soft duvets. These two bedrooms are accessed from the kitchen up a beautifully striped carpeted staircase, and each has oak-beamed ceilings and views across the fields. The other two bedrooms can be found at the top of a wooden staircase off the main living room. The third room has a welcoming kingsize bed and is best for watching the sunrise from the vantage point of your cloud soft pillow. The fourth bedroom has a single solid oak bed and benefits from far-reaching inland views across unspoilt countryside.
Trevigue Holiday Cottage has a large upstairs bathroom with Victorian tiled floor, and vintage-style fittings including a deep bath for soaking in after a long day stomping the North Cornwall coast path. The ground floor shower room has a walk-in shower perfect for washing off sandy toes.
Outside this gorgeous cottage, guests benefit from their own little garden with views stretching out to the fields and woodland beyond. The coastal path is a five-minute walk away, and you can clamber down to Strangles beach from the farmland. There is plenty of parking for two cars right next to your self-catering Cornish cottage, and any additional cars can park in the large car park situated next the main farmhouse, which is less than a minute’s walk away.

Squires is a lovely and extremely spacious, two bedroom, dog-friendly holiday home with accommodation on two levels for four people. The comfortable living room has a TV/DVD with French doors leading out to the garden. The very spacious and bright kitchen/dining room has all you’ll need for your stay including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There’s a kingsize room upstairs with sloping ceilings, a large skylight and a TV, plus a handy en-suite toilet and a twin bedroom downstairs with an adjacent bathroom with bath and shower over. Outside there is a lovely lawned garden with countryside views and furniture and the added luxury of a private hot tub where you can enjoy evenings of star gazing. There is also a handy handheld dog shower and ample parking available on-site.
The sleepy village of Marhamchurch with its thatch and cob cottages is under 2 miles away and has an excellent community spirit and is a short drive from Bude. If it’s the beach you want with miles of sand, swimming and surf then you’ll be spoiled for choice. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive of this cottage including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination.
Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the South West Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Located just ¾ mile from Widemouth Bay, one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in north Cornwall, there is something here to suit guests of all ages. You could even book both of the properties together for extended family or friends.
The larger cottage, Goose Cottage is a charming barn conversion and boast lovely views of the surrounding rural landscape. With spacious open plan living space, it is ideal for enjoyable gatherings of families or friends. Barn Cottage offers a first floor living room, complete with doors which open onto a small decked balcony where guests can admire the magnificent views across rolling fields and out to the sea. Both properties enjoy shared access to the range of facilities found on-site, including a tennis court and a children’s outdoor play area with slides, swings and a climbing wall. Why not take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool, or challenge friends and family to the variety of games found in the small indoor games barn including table tennis, air hockey and a small pool table. Friendly chickens, ducks and geese roam the courtyard, and the tame peacock may pay you a visit to your door. There is a woodland walk to the rear, and a 20-minute walk on a footpath across the fields to the front will take you across sheep grazed meadows to Widemouth Bay.
