The living area opens onto a small, enclosed garden where you can enjoy an alfresco supper, and on a chilly evening there is a cosy wood burner to curl up beside. There is a large TV and DVD player and a selection of DVDs, books and games for you to enjoy during your stay. Guests are welcome to use the owner’s fields for games or exercise.
    The historic market town Holsworthy just 2½ miles away, in the square there is a small Co-Op offering the basics, a local butchers and fresh grocers, pharmacy, pet shop, several cafes and pubs. Waitrose offer a click & collect order service, or you can arrange delivery. Holsworthy also has an 18 hole golf course, indoor swimming pool, and small leisure centre.     Fairview (CWC561946) is a reverse level, semi-detached cottage with an entrance on the first floor and a large living/dining room, a cosy wood-burning stove, there is a west-facing conservatory down a couple of steps with sofa and access to a small private garden. A family bedroom on the first floor provides a level living area for those with a mobility issue. On the ground floor are further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Barn Cottage (CWC562587) is also a reverse level, semi-detached cottage with two bedrooms on the ground floor.
    This is a real farm experience, fresh free-range eggs are available from the owners, and there are a number of walks across the delightful 150 acres. This is a dog-friendly property however please note that it is a working Beef and Sheep farm, so dogs must be kept under control.
    Further along the coast is Sandymouth, a large beach ideal for families due to its lovely sand, rock pools and tea rooms. A short drive north over the border into Devon leads to the quaint village of Hartland which has a magnificent church with an amazing painted ceiling and one of the tallest towers in England. Hartland Quay has a hotel and Wreckers Bar as the coast here is littered with wrecks and is a lovely spot for some lunch. Also well worth a visit is the world-famous fishing village of Clovelly. The cobbled, traffic-free, high street is built into a cleft in a 400’ high cliff and tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port. Beach 2 miles.
