Twin sofas, great to sink into and wall mounted TV are complemented by a superb woodburning stove for those chilly and stormy days, whilst patio doors lead out to your garden. The dining area is great for enjoying any meal you wish and for planning tomorrow’s great adventure. Venture upstairs and you will find three bedrooms, one with a queensize bed, the second with a double and the third a smaller room with single bed. There is a further family bathroom, with an excellent double shower. The outside space promotes a feeling of peace and tranquillity. An impressive stone fireplace, complete with original oven and housing a lovely wood burning stove is the focal point, with corner sofa sat atop the superb and original flagstone floor. A small dining table, with a TV above is next to the kitchen, with quirky styling and with lovely wooden units and appliances. A door leads down three steps to the delightful bathroom, with a bath perfect for a long soak along with a cubicle shower. Venture upstairs and you will find two double bedrooms, in a typical design from times past. Bodmin Moor is an ancient and beautifully brooding place, with an atmosphere all its own, jaw-dropping views and great tors and stone structures. ‘Here to Jamaica Inn’, made famous by Daphne de Maurier has a past where smugglers would stay as they carried their contraband from the shipwrecks at sea. Less than ten miles will bring you to some fine beaches, including Port Gaverne, Daymer and Polzeath, fabulous for families and those wanting to experience the super-surf alike. Bodmin has a heritage railway and chilling jail experience to enjoy.

There is also a separate bunk room that sleeps four people, and two comfortable double bed leather Chesterfield settees are situated in the 28ft conservatory, together with an oak dining table that accommodates up to 14 people and an 18Kw log burner, the conservatory also comes with a Cambridge hifi system. There is also a 14Kw double sided log burner situated in the front room.
If you need to do some washing, then there is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in the main bathroom. Hindscarth is surrounded on 3 sides by areas of outstanding natural beauty, the National Cycle trail runs past the property, Bodmin Moor is 1/2 a mile away. Jamaica Inn is within easy reach as is Boscastle, Padstow and Port Isaac. Guests can also enjoy stunning cliff walks and travelling to the South Coast and the Eden project is also recommended. There are also several sandy beaches within easy reach.
Within 8 miles is Tintagel which is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith and Bossiney Cove. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow.
A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 16 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 27 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!
