    The nearby South-West Coastal Path passes through some of the most dramatic scenery of its route.
    Away from the coast, explore the beauty of Bodmin Moor, a vast moorland peppered with fascinating granite Tors. The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway chugs along for 6 miles and back and will delight children of all ages including steam train enthusiasts.
    Alternatively the disused railway track now known as the Camel Trail cycle and footpath is within easy reach and stretches for 18 miles from Padstow to Wenford Bridge via Wadebridge and Bodmin. Shop 0.75 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The sandy beach becomes completely covered at high tide and is accessed over rocks when approached from the pretty village of Treknow down a picturesque valley. The site at Juliots Well is extremely well looked after and approximately 200 yards away the Bowood Park Golf Club welcomes non-members to its bar and restaurant.

There is a communal tennis court within the park and the owner has thoughtfully left tennis racquets for guests’ use. The park lake also has a picnic area available for use.
