    Trethin is situated in beautiful countryside a short distance from the ancient market town of Camelford on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor, and only a few minutes’ drive from the spectacular north Cornish coast. Once a working farm, its traditional farm buildings now form a cluster of comfortable holiday cottages in rural surroundings. The cottages are surrounded by lawns, flowering shrubs and mature trees and provide plenty of space for relaxation. There is also a games room with table tennis and a pool table. Nearby are several golf courses, the fishing villages of Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame, Padstow with its renowned fish restaurant. beautiful Boscastle, and Tintagel with the ruins of King Arthur’s Castle. Trethin is also an excellent base for day trips to the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House and Gardens, and many other attractions in the vicinity too numerous to mention.     From the property itself there are picturesque walks and footpaths leading out into the Cornish countryside, perfect for early morning dog strolls and ample opportunities for wildlife spotting. You are also within easy reach of from a multitude of cycle routes and trails, including the well-known Camel Trail which winds it way along the River Camel and Estuary to Padstow.
    Primrose Cottage is situated close to Bodmin moor, a mystical and atmospheric place that has rocky Tors and formations to discover with far reaching views. Golitha Falls has impressive waterfalls and a micro-climate and enchanting woodland walks, whilst the world-famous Jamaica Inn, written about by Daphne de Maurier is huddled against the moor. Bodmin has a heritage railway and chilling jail experience to enjoy.
    To the coast and you will find some of the most incredible beaches, harbour villages, coves, and dramatic scenery in the county. Port Isaac, the fictitious home of the TV series ‘Doc Martin’ is delightful and has some fabulous restaurants, whilst Tintagel has links to the legend of King Arthur. Boscastle is picture-postcard pretty, where you can meander to the harbour. Padstow, a bustling place with its, narrow streets, galleries and boutique shops is a perfect spot to watch the world go by or enjoy the culinary delights served by award winning restaurants. Your nearest beach is Trebarwith Strand, where rocky outcrops, caves, rock pools and golden sand await. The swell at Polzeath beach is great for surfing, so only one decision to be made, where to go first.
