Saint Newlyn East, EnglandSet deep in the beautiful Cornish countryside, this Grade II listed, detached barn conversion is a real escape from the crowds, whilst being less than 3 miles to some of the county’s best beaches - most notably Crantock, Holywell Bay and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Gannel estuary in Newquay.
The area is full of tourist attractions, both man-made and natural. Amongst the best are Crealy Adventure Park, Lapps Valley Steam Railway, Dairyland, Newquay Zoo, National Trust owned Trerice House and Gardens, through to the beautiful beaches of Newquay (of which there are over 8), the dunes at Holywell Bay and Perranporth and the tranquil Gannel Estuary. The Gannel is a firm favourite with birdwatchers, kayakers and windsurfers and a perfect place for a walk with the dogs and a picnic.

St Ives, EnglandNancarrow is a large four-bedroom detached house which can comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests and showcases three bathrooms, a large garden, hot tub, children’s play area, parking for five cars and it is also less than a 15-minute walk away from the beach.
The house is very spacious with a large hallway entrance, living room, an open plan kitchen diner and two sets of bifold doors. The dining table and chairs provides a great space to enjoy a home cooked meal and the kitchen is well-equipped with a double electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and wine cooler, a large island worktop and a Smart TV making it a home from home. Positioned south of St Ives, Carbis Bay plays host to a popular family beach and is often frequented by walkers enjoying the delights and challenges of the South West Coastal Path. St Mawes, EnglandThe house itself is a spacious and elegant detached home that has been recently acquired by the owners, who have spent considerable time and energy creating a truly memorable holiday home. Whether you are looking for a week-long holiday or short breaks, Rosevean House is the place for you! The garden is extensive, and the house is set out over two main floors and various levels. There are four bedrooms- two of the double bedrooms take in fantastic views of the bay. There is also a first-floor balcony accessed from the master bedroom with even better views. The living space at Rosevean is simply superb, with a mezzanine living room alongside the fully fitted kitchen with a walk-in larder. There is then a further sitting room on a lower level with access to the delightful patio with incredible views. We don’t think you can find any location better in Cornwall.
Rosevean House has probably the finest view of any house in St Mawes. Situated in an elevated position over the harbour, the house has incredible views taking in the whole of the bay from the harbour to Place Manor and everything in between, including St Mawes Castle! The house is just a short walk from St Mawes Harbour via a pathway and short steep hill. It is also just a few minutes’ walk to Summers Beach.
St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony’s Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round. The property fuses eclectic style with a modern contemporary feel with period antique furniture. This has to be a ’one off’ property in Cornwall. There are not many houses that sleep fifteen guests in eight bedrooms that have so much space for everyone. The Old Vicarage is a substantial detached house built in the Victorian style that still retains some lovely original features mixed with modern appliances. This eco-friendly property will offer a private, natural water source, smart controls and local produce. The garden is being restored to its former glories, and has already achieved inclusion in the National Gardens Scheme.
The vestibule has a Victorian tiled floor flowing through into a large hallway, while the vicars study contains the vicars original desk and various religious artefacts and is now a useful study area. The living room is complete with a stripped wood floor, open fire and comfortable leather sofas with 55" wall mounted TV, Sonos sound system and views across the garden from the large bay windows. The spacious kitchen and dining room are fabulous rooms for entertaining with a stripped wooden floor, complete with French doors leading out to the garden. The designer kitchen features a SMEG double oven range with six burners and a griddle hot plate, wine chiller and two dishwashers make cooking and meal times a dream. The central island has a wooden worktop and a double Belfast sink, all in all this a superb room for a special occasion or family gathering. There is a boules court over-looking the Old Vicarage Vineyard, with plenty of seating with a sandpit for younger guests.
All in all, something rather special awaits you here at The Old Vicarage. It is perfect for family holidays and weekends away and is just a short walk down the country lane to the pretty little bay at Talland. The South West Coastal Path runs along the cliff tops from the end of the garden.
