Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Each property also has access to electric car charging points which a charge for use however if you require using the charging points you must bring your own lead. There are no local amenities as it is in a hamlet, but only a 5 minute car journey to the local village; we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself to your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay. Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin.
Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

From here you can walk or cycle the Camel Trail along the estuary to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin, and it is ideally situated to visit the many National Trust attractions that Cornwall has to offer, including The Eden Project, Bodmin Moor with unspoilt moorland at its best, and the many beautiful gardens and National Trust properties. The living area is open plan with large windows looking out onto the 2-acre garden. When it is clear you will get glimpses of the sea at Gwithian beach, then in the evening take advantage of the beautiful skies from the decking or if its chilly from the living room. You have views over St Ives Bay from the living room and spectacular evening lights from St Ives Carbis bay and Hayle estuary. If you don’t want to eat out, you will find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen or eat alfresco overlooking the beautiful countryside or enjoy a cosy dinner admiring the view in the warm.

Angarrack is a small village nestled in a valley and is home to the imposing Angarrack Viaduct where the local train line crosses the Angarrack river. There are beautiful places to walk and explore in the area by taking the coast path and walking along to Godrey Lighthouse. Wander through the village along the river, or drive to Carn Brea and find the ruins of the old tin mines. Just over 2 miles away is Hayle, a town built on an estuary, with a variety of shops. The local beach Gwithian is 3 miles of golden sand surrounded by sand dunes, for your four-legged friends and Riviere Towans is dog friendly year-round.

If you want to go further afield, a trip to Marazion is essential, as at low tide you can walk across to St Michaels Mount from Marazion beach; it is advisable to book tickets if you wish to go into the gardens or castle. The beach has a seasonal dog ban during the summer months when dogs are allowed after 6pm and before 10am at this time of the year. Just a little further on is the most westerly town of Penzance, where you can wander winding streets, find subtropical gardens, and sit on the promenade admiring the view.

Truro is the capital of Cornwall and is 30 minutes’ drive and is a wonderful day out. The cobbled streets are full of small shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, and the cuisine available will cater for everybody’s requirements. Find small shops offering local produce, sample the local gins or wander around the large market. The beautiful Truro Cathedral dominates the city and is a favourite for visitors. After a busy day exploring, come back and relax and enjoy the solitude recharge for the next day’s adventures. The property has easy access so is suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

Drive through the gates of Honeysuckle Cottage into your designated parking space and enclosed courtyard, you will see patio doors leading into the open plan living area. There is a short walk (Approx. 1 Mile) from the cottage through a private field to Gunwalloe beach, or if you don’t feel as energetic, a 10-minute car journey will take you the 4.1 miles by road. Whilst you are here, visit the sandy beaches with small hidden coves, discover the dramatic cliff top walks taking in the spectacular scenery. This is a great location to explore The Lizard Heritage Coast which is the UK’s most southerly point and designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can see the oldest mainland lighthouse, explore the coastal paths, refresh at the 15th Century pub or enjoy a local ice-cream or a Famous Anne’s Cornish pasty!
Visit some of our finest gardens at Glendurgan and Trelissick. The historic town of Helston “Home to the Furry Dance” is approx. 5 miles away, impressive heritage meets a modern community, local markets are held at Porthleven and Helston a great way to pick up local produce and souvenirs. Why not visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, that rescues and rehabilitates seal pups from around the Cornish Coastline? On the way you will pass RNAS Culdrose, one of the largest helicopter air bases in Europe, stop at the viewing enclosure for a closer look. The cottage’s location is fantastic for exploring both the quaint and scenic countryside as well as the fantastic beaches on the coast, with the nearest shop being just a short walk away in the hamlet of Tregaswith, and lots of pubs and eateries to choose from in St. Columb Major down the road.
Set off on a surfing expedition to Newquay’s nearby world famous Fistral Beach or Watergate Bay known for enjoying incredible waves all year round, with surf schools here to teach beginners all they need to know!

Padstow, renowned for its super seafood restaurants, many with celebrity chef status, is a thriving harbour town, with narrow streets and harbour a hive of activity. Cafes, boutique shops and art galleries sit side by side with restaurants and pubs. Hire a bicycle here and follow the Camel Trail, 18 miles of a mainly flat pathway, as it threads its way through woodland, revealing scenic views. The trail leads to Wadebridge, an ancient town with many amenities and on to Bodmin, where it’s mysterious and atmospheric moor of the same name boasts strange rock formations and views so spectacular. The Eden Project, a world beneath huge Biomes is a unique experience, whilst the exquisite Lost Garden of Heligan are both peaceful and truly beautiful. The beaches in this area have broad expanses of golden sand, rockpools for all ages to enjoy and coves long associated with the legends and tales of smuggling! Oceans is a lovely corner bungalow with a large, enclosed garden benefiting from sea views and located in a residential cul-de-sac just 100 yards from Widemouth Beach.

Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow, and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide, and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area, and a heritage centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, and an excellent information centre.
Oceans is also perfectly located for you to discover the many natural delights that North Devon has to offer such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Hartland, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe, and the world-famous Clovelly Village with their awe-inspiring scenery and there are plenty of family-oriented places to visit including Exmoor Zoo, Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep farm-themed park and many others. This property is situated in Perranporth, a seaside town on the north coast of Cornwall. The Annexe at Tenniside is a two-bedroom, ground floor property with its own parking and private garden. Located near a small stream and surrounded by woodland, you will find the beach to be a 10-minute walk away.
The property has everything that you would expect for a comfortable stay. The garden is very quiet and you can hear the water bubbling from the small stream. The owner has installed outdoor lighting and throws so you can enjoy the relaxing evenings whilst the little ones are tucked in bed. For those that are adventurous, why not lie in the hammock? The garden is full of colourful plants, and these are sold by the owner in the small stall on the road.
If you turn right out of the property you will see a huge tennis club, so for a small fee you can book the court, do not forget your rackets! A little further on is a very well-equipped play area for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. There is basketball and a football pitch, as well as a table tennis to use. A little further you will find the duck pond, a beautiful place to walk, with plenty of benches, rowing boats full of flowers, and the island has a lovely waterfall. Perranporth beach is a 3-mile stretch of sand, a fantastic place for the whole family. There is a tidal pool at Chapel Rock as well as a fantastic watering hole. The Atlantic surf attracts surfers all year round, and there is something to do all year round. The coastal paths along Perranporth lead you to the stunning sand dunes of Penhale, an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.

You can also book a show at the Hall for Cornwall. There is a wide selection of restaurants and pubs to choose from if you have had enough of exploring the local shops. There are beautiful walks along the Truro River or stroll through Victoria Gardens. As you would expect you have plenty of beaches to choose from, Porthtowan is popular with surfers as well as families. From here you can take the coastal path towards the St Agnes Heritage Coast, you will see the old engine mines and admire the stunning scenery, you will find the beautiful Chapel Porth Beach. Beware at high tide as the sand is totally covered, leaving a small sandy cove, however at low tide the beach expands to expose a wide sandy beach.
Portreath is a fishing harbour and another popular beach for surfers and families, great for exploring rock pools, the soft sand and sheltered location is popular all year round. For walkers that want to explore the historic mining area then the Twelveheads to Chacewater Circular Walk is a must, you will see the copper and tin mining in this amazing valley. However, you choose to spend your days, the cosy retreat of Sea Glass Cottage awaits, relax in the garden, or curl up next to the log burner and plan the next day.
