The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are both within 25 miles. There are many historic houses to visit close by including Cotehele, Lanhydrock and Antony. There is horse riding nearby, and golf courses within 20 miles include the ’course that Jack built’ at St Mellion, Looe Bindown and Lanhydrock. Liskeard sports a leisure centre with swimming pool, squash, indoor bowling, badminton and fitness suite. From Liskeard train station you can take the lovely branch line which runs down to Looe through the wooded East Looe Valley. The property fuses eclectic style with a modern contemporary feel with period antique furniture. This has to be a ’one off’ property in Cornwall. There are not many houses that sleep fifteen guests in eight bedrooms that have so much space for everyone. The Old Vicarage is a substantial detached house built in the Victorian style that still retains some lovely original features mixed with modern appliances. This eco-friendly property will offer a private, natural water source, smart controls and local produce. The garden is being restored to its former glories, and has already achieved inclusion in the National Gardens Scheme.
The vestibule has a Victorian tiled floor flowing through into a large hallway, while the vicars study contains the vicars original desk and various religious artefacts and is now a useful study area. The living room is complete with a stripped wood floor, open fire and comfortable leather sofas with 55" wall mounted TV, Sonos sound system and views across the garden from the large bay windows. The spacious kitchen and dining room are fabulous rooms for entertaining with a stripped wooden floor, complete with French doors leading out to the garden.
