    Just 4 miles from Bude’s beaches and its many traditional seaside attractions, this very spacious and unusual, colonial-style holiday property has its own garden and commands wonderful views across the countryside towards Widemouth Bay and the sea. The setting on the main Holsworthy to Bude road is very convenient for exploring this delightful corner of North Cornwall.
    As well as shops, inns, restaurants and its Historical and Folk Museum, Bude has three large sandy beaches popular with surfers (with lifeguard patrol in summer), one with a very large sea-water swimming pool. Its sports facilities include a superb 18-hole golf course, tennis and squash courts, Splash leisure centre and ten pin bowling. Delightful walking can be found nearby on the picturesque North Cornwall Coastal Footpath, and also along the towpath of Bude’s canal (the Planekeepers Path) – 3 miles of quiet level walking of special interest to wildlife and birdlife lovers which begins ½ mile from the property and leads to Summerleaze Beach in Bude. Fishing is also available in the canal (some of the finest coarse fishing waters in the west), and horse riding nearby. Further afield, but within easy driving distance, are the historic coastal villages of Boscastle, Tintagel, Hartland Quay and Clovelly. Shop and fish and chips takeaway ½ mile away, pub 1½ miles.

    The property is situated on a 35-acre smallholding with sheep, horses, chickens and ducks, close to Canworthy Water in the heart of rural Cornwall, and just a short drive from some superb coastal towns and beaches such as Bude and Crackington Haven. The pretty villages of Padstow, where the renowned chef Rick Stein boasts a superb seafood restaurant and deli shop; Port Isaac where Doc Martin was filmed, and Rock are all worth a visit. Mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by, whilst the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor are a must for walkers. For a great day out try Crealy Adventure Park and the famous Eden Project. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

    Madison is a lovely Swedish designed, detached holiday property situated not far from the beach and benefiting from being just under 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude. The property can comfortably accommodate eight guests with all rooms on one level.
    There are three bedrooms; one with a super kingsize bed, Smart TV and a lovely en-suite with a multi spray unit, double walk-in shower plus a bath and the other two both being twins (one with a handy sink in it). There’s also a family shower room, again with double walk-in shower. The living space consists of a comfortable living area with Smart TV, a separate dining room with a double sofa bed and a conservatory with seating, a telescope and access to the rear garden and patio. The kitchen/breakfast room offers everything you’ll need for your stay and the utility room has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and coffee machine.
    Outside is a large rear garden consisting of trees, lawn and a patio with a big dining table, perfect for outdoor family gatherings. Children will love running in and out of the trees and bushes and hidden away is a quiet sun lounging area. To the front of the property is an additional garden area and parking for up to five cars on the driveway. Then there’s the games rooms which can be accessed via the side of the building, where you will find table tennis, air hockey, darts, table football, a games console, a TV and even a toilet.
    If it’s the beach life you’re looking for then you’ll be spoiled for choice with the nearest beach being just 3 miles away. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town and has something for everyone including great beaches, rockpools and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and a heritage centre at Bude Castle.
    Madison is also perfectly located for you to discover the many natural delights that North Devon has to offer such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ‘Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Hartland, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village. There are plenty of family-oriented places to visit including Exmoor Zoo, Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep farm-themed park and many others.
