Port Isaac has a picturesque working harbour and an array of quaint shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Port Isaac lies on the South West Coastal Path and offers spectacular walks with views of dramatic cliffs and coastline of North Cornwall. Also close by is the sandy surfing beach at Polzeath. Just along the coast is Rock, which has beautiful beaches with a number of watersports available and St Enodoc Golf Club. From Rock a ferry can be taken over to Padstow, with its array of interesting shops, pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant. Delabole, England 2.50These two stone built holiday cottages (ref 29227 and ref TJU) date back to the 17 century and enjoy a rural location with superb sea views. Pet-friendly Downhouse Cottage was extended in Victorian times, while Downhouse has a rustic feel with a clome oven in the fireplace and a large garden. Water is supplied from a borehole; the water is wonderful and is tested annually, so no need for bottled water.
Both cottages benefit from a sitting-out area with stunning views of the coastline. Surrounded by countryside, they are perfect for walkers to enjoy the views from the South West Coastal Path. Portscatho, England 5.00Turnpike Cottage is a spacious, beautifully presented cottage with a wonderful, large, double aspect kitchen/dining area, three bedrooms, two reception rooms, and three bath/shower rooms. Outside is a sun terrace and on the other side of the quiet country road is a games room with table football and a small table tennis table, off street parking and a small private garden with seating area. The cottage is set in the delightful location of Gerrans Square, opposite the Royal Standard pub and Gerrans Church.
Turnpike Cottage is only a short, 5-minute walk down the hill to the pretty little harbour of Portscatho, where many artists have taken inspiration from the stunning location and superb light in the area. There are a number of delightful little galleries showcasing the work of various Cornish artists. The local public house is nestled in The Square and serves local ales and good pub grub all year round. Rosevine beach is dog friendly throughout the year and is just to the east of the village. It has beautiful golden sands and is over looked by the increasingly famous Hidden Hut.
