    This delightful former corn mill is set amongst lush Cornish countryside near the village of Egloskerry. Dating back to the 15th century, this historic mill was last working up until the 1960’s. It has been sympathetically renovated to maintain the charm and character with added modern comforts. This stunning, detached cob and stone walled mill is arranged over two floors in a topsy-turvy style to capture and enjoy the natural beauty of the abundant surrounding farmland.

    The interior is graced with charming features with its exposed original beams and acts as a great hub for exploring the wonderful rural and coastal locations nearby. It is a lovely spot for a family, or groups of couples and friends. The homely living room offers plenty of comfortable seating, along with a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner, creating a lovely spot to put your feet up and relax. The property has full fibre superfast broadband Wi-Fi. There is also access to the garden where you can enjoy uninterrupted views over the tranquil countryside and surrounding grazing fields. The spacious kitchen is very well-appointed, with all the necessary appliances to cook up a scrumptious meal. There are three bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, one with a double bed and one with a kingsize zip and link bed which can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request. All rooms have been decorated to a loving standard to create a peaceful spot to get your much-needed rest. There are also two shower rooms, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor.

    Just 5 miles away lies the charming town of Launceston, which has a wealth of amenities, as well as Launceston Castle and the fascinating Lawrence House Museum. The barns are located on a horse riding school, where all the family are encouraged to give horse riding a try. Once in the saddle you will want to take it up when you get back home. The lovely heated outdoor swimming pool is a great hit with families with children, and the Jacuzzi and sauna are favourites with adults. St Leonards certainly is a holiday base with a difference, situated in a wooded valley, it provides a comfortable and relaxing holiday for people of all ages though out the entire year. All the cottages are set on the edge of a courtyard over looking the stables and surrounded by 23 acres of private grounds which is also home to a ½-acre coarse fishing lake, or for something more energetic why not take part in a game of paintball available on site. There is plenty of birdlife here including kingfishers, so you often awaken to the sound of the dawn chorus!

    It is an ideal location for touring the both north and south Cornish coasts and close to the Devon/Cornwall border so you can explore both counties from one base. Whether you wish to take it easy in our pool and bbq area, have a swim, ride a horse, try paintball or even go fishing on the River Kensey close by, there is plenty to keep you entertained and make you want to get out and about and feel invigorated by the fresh Cornish air. Perfect for summer, spring, autumn or even winter holidays, all the cottages have been very comfortably furnished and equipped, featuring pine furniture, comfortable beds and woodburners, making them a cosy and welcome home to come back to.

    Out and about in the region you can head west by car to the Widemouth Heritage Coast and visit mystical Tintagel and Port Isaac Bay, or head east towards Dartmoor’s wilderness; whichever direction you travel in there is sure to be something new to see. Launceston, 2 miles, once the ancient capital of Cornwall, has shops, a steam railway, castle, golf and an indoor leisure centre. A variety of golf courses locally. There is also a cosy snug room so children or adults can watch their favourite programmes without disturbing the rest of the household.     Lanxton Barn is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Coad’s Green, a few miles east of Bodmin Moor and with excellent access to both coasts, the A30 and also the stunning Tamar Valley. This rural location has very little light pollution and you can while away warm summer evenings gazing up at the stars above. There are dozens of excellent walks with Bodmin moor, the Tamar Valley and the north coast beaches all within easy reach. This is a working 100 acre farm so any dogs would have to be supervised and walked on leads if any animals are in the fields. At the top of the farm is the site of a hill fort with panoramic views stretching as far as Dartmoor. The farm has its own free range chickens and ducks with lovely farm fresh eggs available. Nearby are bluebell woods with wild orchids and there is single bank fishing available during the season. Lanxton Barn is situated on a working farm, with a local independent shop 3 miles away (not open late). For main shops Launceston is 7 miles away, but most grocery stores offer delivery.     The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas.
