Ash Tree Cottage (CWC563734) is a pretty, stone cottage, converted from stables in 2003, there is an open plan living space, a warm and cosy bedroom, and a sun trap of a patio for al fresco dining or a glass of something cold while you plan your days ahead. Trebethis (CWC566710) has tiled floors, a beautiful granite fireplace made from three gateposts, exposed beams, including a massive ash beam that separates the kitchen from dining area, all combine to exude character in this superb barn conversion. Honeysuckle Cottage (CWC566741) has been converted from a 400 year old cart house. Inside you will find a bright and spacious open plan living area that welcomes you in, while both bedrooms are tastefully decorated and enhance the ambience. The property has been updated with a larger main bedroom with kingsize bed and a new bathroom with walk in shower. There are French doors that lead out onto a secluded patio garden, a perfect spot to soak up the Cornish air and sunshine, read a book or enjoy your favourite tipple. Mowhay Cottage (CWC566799) is beautifully presented, with vaulted ceilings, a heated tiled floor, a cosy wood burner, exposed beams and many other character features. The gardens at each property, although enclosed, will detain all but the most experienced dog escapologists.
Located a few miles inland from Crackington Haven which has pebbles and rock pools at the top of the beach but as the tide goes out a vast expanse of golden sand is exposed with some of the best surf on the north coast.
To the north is Widemouth bay and the bustling tourist town of Bude while to the west is the stunning and infamous village Boscastle, nestled in a steep valley where the river has cut a course through the steep cliffs to the sea. There are secluded coves, majestic views, wildlife and even a blowhole. Tintagel is 8 miles away and boasts a magnificent new footbridge to reach the castle on a single level and has made the journey to the headland significantly easier. Beach 5 miles.

West Yardley (UK31200) accommodates up to 11 guests. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom an en-suite wet room with shower seat and grab rails, ideal for those with mobility issues. On the first floor are a family bathroom and a further three bedrooms, one of which boasts a private balcony, tea making facilities and an en-suite shower room. The open plan living space features a good-sized kitchen area and a living area with a sofa bed.
The property features a private terrace accessed from the living area, offering marvellous sea views. Outside, there is a direct beach frontage and the properties are privately situated in established gardens, commanding an outstanding 180-degree panorama over the waters. Outside in the beautiful gardens the house has its own garden furniture with a barbecue, perfect for summer evenings. There is storage available for bikes or beach equipment, and an outside shower and dog washing station. Within the private grounds are a number of seating areas including a beach shack which features a rather impressive wood burner. The lovely village of Downderry features a restaurant, pub, coffee shop and a small shop all within a short walk. Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath leading to the charming fishing ports and villages with quays. Looe is within easy reach and scenic Polperro is an enchanting village with quaint, traffic-free lanes and a fishing harbour surrounded with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages. Take a stroll through the beautiful valley and woodland heading towards Hessenford or explore the coast and its fascinating rock pools between Downderry and Seaton, where there are pubs and a beach café. As one of the most easily accessed parts of Cornwall, you can usually expect to be on the beach just an hour after the Exeter M5 junction 31. Beach 50 yards. Hindscarth is surrounded on 3 sides by areas of outstanding natural beauty, the National Cycle trail runs past the property, Bodmin Moor is 1/2 a mile away. Jamaica Inn is within easy reach as is Boscastle, Padstow and Port Isaac. Guests can also enjoy stunning cliff walks and travelling to the South Coast and the Eden project is also recommended. There are also several sandy beaches within easy reach.
Within 8 miles is Tintagel which is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith and Bossiney Cove. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow.
A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 16 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 27 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!

Once inside you are greeted with a bright and airy, open-plan living space with relaxing sofas to sink into, a cosy wood burner (with ‘starter pack’ provided) for those cooler evenings, and attractive floor and wall art unique to the property and evocative of Cornwall and its heritage. You will find lovingly restored furniture and repurposed features in the side tables and display units, turning function into fun! Lead on to the dining area, complete with impressive handmade wooden dining table and seating for ten guests, looking out onto the garden. The wall here is adorned with a fantastic map of the county, a further reminder of the wonders of this amazing region and its many attractions and places to explore! You are spoilt for a choice of beaches here; Harlyn Bay Beach, just 3 miles away, offers a broad expanse of golden sand stretching far before you. Trevose Headland offers spectacular vistas, whilst further beaches at Treyarnon Bay and beautiful Porthcothan Beach are just a short drive away, with rock pools for all ages to explore! Visit Padstow, with its fabulous seafood restaurants, busy quayside and narrow streets, or vibrant Newquay, with its plethora of vibrant bars and restaurants, and scintillating surfing and water sports activities.
Away from the coast, Camel Valley Theme Park, the world-renowned Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan all offer fun days out, whilst Bodmin Moor is an atmospheric place, with mysterious rock formations and views as far as the eye can see. The options are never ending here, the only question is where will you go tomorrow?
