    These semi-detached barn conversions have been converted in 2019 to provide ‘reverse level’, comfortable and spacious accommodation, and are located on a small working farm. Accessed via an unmade lane, they lie in a quiet setting with views over the surrounding countryside to the coast. They are ideal for extended families or friends looking for a relaxing location, perfect for that main summer family holiday and equally appealing for couples or smaller groups and their dogs who are looking to explore the quieter windswept beaches during the winter months. The owners live on-site and are on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.

    Trotters (ref UK10739) has been converted to a very good standard and includes high, apex ceilings, beams and wooden floors on the first floor, and comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor. Bull Pen (ref UK10740) is a two-storey stone barn comprising reverse level accommodation with three bedrooms on the ground floor. Outside, Trotters has a balcony-style terrace, and Bull Pen has a decked area where guests can sit out and relax.

    Nearby, the vibrant village of St Agnes has some lovely individual village shops, pubs, cafés, delightful sandy coves and beaches. The rugged north coast and popular coastal resorts of Perranporth and Porthtowan are just a short drive away. The area is renowned for its surfing and cycle trails with surf board and bicycle hire, endless coastal paths, golf courses, horse riding, watersports, fishing, wildlife and bird watching, and some amazing sub-tropical gardens make the area appealing whatever the season. From here you can take the coastal path towards the St Agnes Heritage Coast, you will see the old engine mines and admire the stunning scenery, you will find the beautiful Chapel Porth Beach. Beware at high tide as the sand is totally covered, leaving a small sandy cove, however at low tide the beach expands to expose a wide sandy beach.
    Portreath is a fishing harbour and another popular beach for surfers and families, great for exploring rock pools, the soft sand and sheltered location is popular all year round. For walkers that want to explore the historic mining area then the Twelveheads to Chacewater Circular Walk is a must, you will see the copper and tin mining in this amazing valley. However, you choose to spend your days, the cosy retreat of Sea Glass Cottage awaits, relax in the garden, or curl up next to the log burner and plan the next day.

    Ideal as a base, the property is close to the A30, allowing easy access to the north and west coasts, just over 2 miles from the picturesque village of St. Agnes and Porth Chapel beach, and 2½ miles from Porthtowan Beach. Mount Hawke had a history of local copper mining activities and is now known for its famous skateboarding centre, stunning beaches, and coastal walks. St. Agnes is a large village on the north coast, unspoilt in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site with four beaches and is a haven for wildlife including sharks, seals, and dolphins. You will also find references to Poldark as the parish is also called Poldark Country. If you want a family friendly beach head to Porthtown, a large sandy beach backed by imposing cliffs and popular with surfers at low tide; this meets up with Chapel Porth. This area is popular for walkers who navigate the coastal paths admiring the rugged landscape and the wide variety of wildlife, you can take circular walks, depending on your fitness levels and skill levels.
    If you would prefer walking in more sheltered environments, or exploring old mine areas or a combination of coast and country there are plenty of options to choose. If you are feeling more energetic follow the cycle paths, equipment can be hired, just choose from 35 routes. If you are looking for days out why not go to the Eden Project? It is well worth the drive of around 50 minutes, where you can submerge yourself in tropical rain forests, take in the sights and smells of the mediterranean Biome and explore the large outdoor garden.
    If you like gardens, a trip to the Lost Gardens of Heligan is a must, children love the magical gardens, the farm, and the woodland, whilst you can enjoy the Productive Garden and Please Grounds. If you want to explore West Cornwall, head to Falmouth and the Helford River, visit Glendurgan, and Trebah Garden, or Trelissick house and gardens in Feock near Truro; you can catch the Ferry across Carrick Roads from here.     The state-of-the-art kitchen is great for catering and cooking the fresh local produce. There are two excellent fish shops in Port Isaac that sell their daily catch of fish and shellfish; specialities are crab and lobster.
    Local lamb, beef and pork are all available at the nearby farm shop, which has wonderful views overlooking the sea.
    Famous now as the setting for the TV series ’Doc Martin’, Port Isaac is a working fishing village with shops, bars and several top-quality restaurants.
    This area is now renowned as a ’foodie paradise’, with several celebrity chefs located here and the area is very well served by a whole variety of dining places to fit every pocket.
    Close by is a hotel and next door is a bistro, which has indoor and outdoor dining. There are two Michelin starred restaurants in Port Isaac run by Nathan Outlaw. Nearby in Padstow is Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred restaurant and he has a great pub too. Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and Cookery School are in Padstow. Rick Stein also has a number of other restaurants with varying price ranges.
    This is an ideal spot for those who enjoy coastal walks, bird watching, golf, fishing, surfing, sailing, kayaking, cycling or just lazing on the beach. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. The cliffs, caves and rock pools are a children’s paradise.
    Within an easy drive are Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude and Wadebridge.
    Wadebridge hosts one end of the Camel Trail, with a 5-mile dedicated cycle ride to Padstow on the old railway track, alongside the picturesque Camel Estuary. To the north stands Tintagel’s medieval castle and the quaint fishing village of Boscastle, with Crackington Haven and Bude a little further on. Inland lies Jamaica Inn and Bodmin Moor, the setting for the ’Poldark’ stories.
    A few minutes’ walk away is a water sports centre, Cornish Rock Tors, based on the beach at Port Gaverne. They offer kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering for individuals and groups. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. Water sports can be enjoyed at Rock, from where a passenger ferry crosses the Camel Estuary to the town of Padstow. Daymer Bay has another glorious sandy beach, and the golf course at St Enodoc is open to the public. John Betjeman, the late Poet Laureate, is buried at St Enodoc Church, with its twisted spire.
