The pretty town of Camelford is just a 1-mile walk, where a pub, selection of takeaways, shops and of course freshly baked Cornish pasties can be found. The famous 18-hole Bowood Park golf course, regarded as one of the south west’s premier parkland courses, is nearby, as is Camelford Leisure Centre offering a 20m indoor swimming pool and fitness Studio. The start of the exquisite Camel Trail can be found at Wenford Bridge (10 minute drive). The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are also a must to visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is just 15 minutes’ drive. For a great day out Camel Creek Family Theme Park, the famous Eden Project, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin moors are all within easy driving distance. - EnglandChurch View is centrally positioned within the village of Probus, an ideal location for exploring Cornwall. The cul-de-sac position provides a quiet corner with parking for two cars. The side shallow ramp leads to the main entrance and hallway, whilst the living/dining room is bright and welcoming with comfy sofas, gas fire, Smart TV and the all-important Wi-Fi. Adjacent to this room is the kitchen, well equipped with appliances, including an electric oven and induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, a Quooker tap and Tassimo coffee machine.
Set to the rear of the property looking over the garden, is a large bedroom with an electric split rising king-size bed and there is also a wall mounted Smart TV. Next to the bedroom is a further room which has a sofa bed, perhaps for an extra guest to use if required. This room can be used as a study and provides access to the conservatory, which has some seating. There is a wide doorway out to the decking and garden. Across the hall is a spacious walk-in wet room with rain shower, ideal wheelchair access or for guests with restricted mobility.
The enclosed rear garden is a particular feature to the property, with a large sunny decking area, level to the lawn, great to enjoy breakfast, a barbeque or an evening glass of wine. There is also plenty of room on the lawn to spread out, or for the dog to enjoy. The property has wide doorways, ideal for a wheelchair set over a level surface.
The rural village of Probus nestles between the city of Truro and town of St Austell making it a great location to visit the many beaches, fishing villages and the popular Roseland across the east & south coasts. A short drive will also take you across to the north coast toward Newquay. The village has a 16th century church and wide main street lined with elegant Georgian houses. The church tower is over 120’ high. Keen gardeners would appreciate the Probus Gardens, designed in the 1970’s to inspire people to make the most of Cornwall’s clement climate. - Hayle, EnglandBee Cottage is in a small village Reawla in Hayle offering comfortable accommodation in a traditional stone cottage, with an inviting open plan living area downstairs. The property is set away from the road making it quiet and a great place to chill, the garden is private for children and dogs to run around. The cottage has also benefitted from a recent refurbishment providing a comfortable retreat after a long day exploring beautiful Cornwall. The owners have provided hanging space in an outside building for wetsuits etc, and there is plenty of room outside for bikes, paddle boards and surfboards.
After a busy day, out relax in the garden with a drink. There is so much to do here, you are very close to Gwithian beach, ideal for families as there are always rock pools for little ones to play in. The beach is flat but tidal, at high tide part of the beach will be cut off. There is a walk from the car park. The beach is lifeguarded during the summer season. The café opposite is always welcome after the trek back to the car!
Carbis Bay, Porthminster and Porthmeor beach are approximately 3 miles away, both flat and sandy, great for families. Gwithian and Godrey beaches are popular with surfers, also great for children as there are plenty of rock pools to explore. St Ives just over three miles away, is a great day out with cobbled streets leading to the harbour; there are so many places to eat and drink here offering choice for everyone. Small independent shops are great if you are looking for a gift or just something different. Hayle has a beautiful estuary and Copperhouse Creek, ideal for birdwatching and walking with plenty of places to eat, it is unusual as it is just one street.
Whilst you are here you must eat a pasty either at Philp’s - sit and eat in the car watching the harbour or Foundry Shop and sit on a bench at Mill Pool. For a change of scenery visit Birds of Paradise in Hayle, a fun day for everyone with an indoor play area for little ones - great of the weather is not great. It has a small railway, a petting area, a wide selection of birds and animals and during peak season has flying displays. If you want to enjoy the scenery, head for Lelant Saltings Station described as the most scenic railway in Britain.
